There is a lot of talk in the left-wing blogsphere about impeaching President Bush. But what crimes have been committed that would justify impeachment? Being unpopular is not ground for impeachment. Lying - if you think that he lied - is not illegal. Policies that may violate the Constitution are supposed to be handled via Judicial Review not impeachment.

I understand that Bush is very unpopular, especially among democrats and liberals, but that is not enough to warrent impeachment. So what am I missing? What high crime or misdemeanor would be the basis for impeachment?

OK, I THINK I represent most conservatives on here, and in America in general, but there is no way of knowing for sure, but here it gos:

I have no problem with our troops having a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq. The problem I have is our enemies KNOWING OUR PLANS!

Do Liberals not know that people all over the world can get CNN? Did you know that, if George Bush would have passed that bill, an hour later some guy in Iraq would be telling all his buddies 'Hey, all we need to do is hide out for a year, and they're gone!"

So, what if Pulosi, instead of passing stupid Mickey-Mouse bills, had a secret meeting with George Bush, Robert Gates, etc., and talked to them about withdrawing from Iraq? No one would have to know what happened, when we are going to pull out, or even if we are going to.

The word would spread only to the military Generals, the troops would know they were coming home, but the enemy would not know. Everyone's happy!

Can you believe this story - is this misuse of your powers in office???
WASHINGTON - The Chungs, immigrants from South Korea, realized their American dream when they opened their dry-cleaning business seven years ago in the nation's capital. For the past two years, however, they've been dealing with the nightmare of litigation: a $65 million lawsuit over a pair of missing pants.
But the bulk of the $65 million comes from Pearson's strict interpretation of D.C.'s consumer protection law, which fines violators $1,500 per violation, per day. According to court papers, Pearson added up 12 violations over 1,200 days, and then multiplied that by three defendants.

Much of Pearson's case rests on two signs that Custom Cleaners once had on its walls: "Satisfaction Guaranteed" and "Same Day Service."

What are your opinions????

What are they afraid of? Abortion kills more humans than guns, yet that is O.K?Why are they so egar to take away one of our rights. They bash Bush for the patriot act yet want to take away our guns.Sounds like they cant make-up their minds on anything, first they support Bush, now have turned on him. I dont understand how you can support them. All they do is change to whatever is popular now,and you want them to lead us?At least our President has stood firm with his desision, wrong or right he dont let others run the country.

Aside from fiduciary duties to its shareholders, a corporation has no outside duties in the absence of any regulatory scheme, does it?

In other words, if there is no governmental regulatory scheme isn't it in the best interest of a corporation to cheat if the risk calculus is advantageous to do so?

After all, in the view of the corporate entity, as long as the customer agrees to pay the amount negotiated, wouldn't cheating, lying, misrepresenting, etc., not only be okay but advantageous from an economic standpoint if there were no statutory scheme penalizing it?

P.S. By "regulatory/statutory scheme" I mean laws to obey.

My question basically addresses instances where there are no laws on the books to regulate certain types of corporate behavior, such as emerging areas of internet commerce.

I made almost $250 yesterday alone, and I don't even have very much invested. Not any more than the average American can save up in the amount of time I have, anyway.

Boy, if this is a bad economy, I want to see what a good one will do!! Agreed?

So, why do you say the economy is doing bad? Unemployment is down:
http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServlet?request_action=wh&graph_name=LN_cpsbref3
and the stock market is up.

Now, you may be saying "the dollar is at an all-time low", but that is obviously not keeping everyday, middle class Americans like me from making money, so what does it matter?

I don't do anything special. Every dollar I save is in Vanguard Mutual funds, I don't do day-trading or any of that foolishness. I put my money in and keep it there, through good times and bad. And this is the most money I have made since before the internet bubble burst (Thanks, Bill Clinton)

So, why is the economy SOOOO bad??

We have seen all the wounds from CNN and Foxnews running the immigration riot tape, multiple bruising, displayed like a gang tattoo on kid after kid. But you will never see multiple rubber bullet head shots on CNN. You do not peacock strut after getting hit on the head.
This brings us back to a method so harmless that the Cops do it to each other, even to female police recruits. Despite the absence of excruciating pain maybe TASERS work too good.
One side of the riot calls TASARS, even those with cameras, a racist police weapon.
The angry mob grows angrier. Both sides do. They hurl their rocks and use their street weapons. They are the perfect example of self-righteous, self-obsessed victimhood versus what's good for my family.
Terrorists have always learned to attack soft targets. Then they avoid these issues completely.

There are a lot of people out there who want change and I don't mean from republican to democrat, that didn't work. It's time for real change in this nation. We need to speak up and speak out. It's time for us as citizens to tell those in charge that they had thier chance and that it's time to try something new. Whatever your political beliefs are, take a stand, write a letter, email or call your reps. VOTE!!! One voice alone will die out, but together we can force change.

What are ways you or I can affect change in our government?

What are some organizations you belong to or kow about that stand for change?
