I've been receiving an e-mail chain letter that asks for people to add their name and to eventually forward the e-mail to the President as a means of protest.

I looked on the web and found coverage of this issue but nothing more current than several months ago and all of it had a political bias. Some sites claimed that President Bush authorized a "secret" agreement with Mexico, others said Speaker Pelosi was behind the agreement, you know the usual political garbage.

So my question is where does this stand?

I will state it again. You do not have to serve to be patriotic, but, what is the justification, besides fear and cowardace, for a capable person who enter military service, especially in a time of need?

Listening to our pastor Sunday, I got to thinking . This man was explaining how wrong it is to hate our President regardless of anyone's personal political ideology . And I wondered. . .Are any of these people 'Haters of our President' ? And are they listening . Well I can't just walk-up to them and ask if they hate our President , you just don't do that in church . But here I can ask .

He also spoke about how Love, Understanding, Support , and Prayer can help our leaders .
So, how many of you have a pastor who promotes Love and Prayer for our leaders ? How about Understanding ?

The U.S. military says another 3,700 American troops have arrived in the Iraqi capital to support the security crackdown launched in Baghdad in mid-February.

A statement Wednesday says the new brigade will help Iraqi security forces clear, control and retain key areas of Baghdad in order to reduce violence.

This is the fourth additional combat unit deployed in Baghdad as part of plans to add some 28,000 troops there. Note: Doesn't this sound like the years 1965 to 1972? Remember? Build up the troop level in Vietnam and then win. Here we go again. Stay tuned and watch the defeat that is sure to arrive. Just like Vietnam.

If the most powerful nation on earth does not have the will power or the comittment to defeat a few thousand so call insurgents to help preserve our way of life. Then in future conflicts who can we count on to defeat as a enemy, the boy scouts, the girl scouts? If this is the way this nation deal with with a protracted conflict it does not bode well for our nation our enemies has to be watching and smiling.

After all, haven't Bush supporters charged Pelosi with the same crime--even though she's a LEGAL representative of the US government; and has the right to visit whomever she wishes?

Or is there a "double-standard" with the GOP these days?

Pelosi visiting with Syrian government representatives=violation of the Logan Act...

Rice visiting with Syrian government representatives=______?
