I'm a Christian and I don't believe in a rapture, because it's NOT in the Bible. It is a 1840's idea that remains popular. Jesus will return, but the rapture probably won't happen.

If real Christians were raptured, then Robertson and Bush wouldn't leave!!

Robertson is a total hypocrite, and his supposed "divine revelations" have all been false. He won't be missed. And the Bush regime are liars, and if they disappeared in a rapture, the world would be safer.

Well if the Rapture takes place and the conservatives are taken to heaven what comes next is the the rest are sent to hell.

*LOL* But then ALL conservatives won't be taken in the rapture. You won't be free of them even then.

Ha ha! I LOVE the comment about the rapture being Bush's exit strategy! :D
If we could remove religious freaks of ALL persuasions, this world would be a better place. Think of "Imagine": that would be my Shangri-La. I for one am so very tired of so-called "Christians" telling me that their values have more validity than my own (as a non-religious individual); one doesn't need "God" telling you to do the right thing when it's in your own heart to do so.

I saw a bumper sticker in Boulder 7 years ago that said, "Imagine a post-Christian world."

It's one of the reasons I got my child out of Boulder.

Hey, you might enjoy the fiery inferno the earth will become, who knows.

ADDED: (I'll understand if you want to take back the thumbs up for this, btw), but I think it is very possible that the rapture will be our exit strategy. I do not know what the President believes about this.

The rapture is supposed take away the true Christians.

So I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but many conservatives will be staying.

Thank you very much for walking right into that one . Now Stop, Think and Pray . . . . before it's too late .

i asked this answer in the religious room and they tried to deny they believe its going to happen in their time, which seems strange giving that most God religions always be live its going to happen in their time.
I don't think the raptures going to take them away, they are going to continue to promote it to get followers for many years.
It would be nice if they spent that much time helping people in more short term ways.

Are you saying that only conservatives are Christians? If a right wing conservative made a statement like that, we'd get in trouble for it - why is it OK for a liberal to say it?
