Out of contenders for nomination on both sides, would anyone end the war? Or would they simply change strategy and objectives. Who is most likely to bring troops home. I'm thinking Obama, however once in office he may decide to follow recommendations from military advisors.

I'd say don't come here arguing and attacking one another, but there's no fun in that...

The British empire and it's meddlings in other nations affairs is the reason we have so many problems today..

1)In the Middel East..it changed borders which are still fought over today, and disposed the only democratic govt in Iran just so it can get cheap oil.
2)Africa..has still not recovered from being colonised and raped by the British.
3)The patition of India and millions of Hindus and Muslims you died because of that was the British fault.

The USA hasn't even cause a fraction of the damage that Britain has..but they people won't shut up about American imperialism. Why don't people mention British imperialism.

Apparently he doesn't favor a time line, and the Dems have said they won't make the mistake of submitting another bill with timelines, so that is out.

But, this R-NV John Ensign guy seems to think the solution lies in the power of the purse in Iraq. He proposes we tie financial commitment to stability gains in Iraq. In other words, we say, here is a benchmark, reach this benchmark, get this money, don't reach it, no money. Eventually if the citizens realize their best interests lie in supressing the violence, a lot of the violence could cease for all but the hard liners, and of course Al Qaeda and Iranians supporting the jerks.

I think I like this policy the best so far, as it does compromise with the Democrats and doesn't give our enemy a time line, more a "success" line vs. a "dead" line.

Democrats are trying to run the war and have our soldiers turn tail and run. My son is serving in Iraq and he says most of the soldiers are tired of the Democrats interferring and not backing the troops. Most of them know its a political thing and they wish the Democrats would just shut up.

This lawsuit has been up since 2005, Roy Pearson has been abusing his law licence and his position as judge. How much further is our Judicial System going to fall. A responsibility for a judge is to be fair. And this ABUSIVE lawsuit is not right. Laws shoulds be set-up to prevent this from happening. The dry cleaners lost his pants and he wanted the cleaners to pay the FULL price for the suit but they refused to. They have found the pants a week later but Pearson still wants the cleaners to pay because of this so called "consumer fraud." He then filed lawsuit again them. Then the cleaners proposed a amount of money to him, but he refused. He still refuses to take the pants because he is childish and there are a lot of people out there that are supporting the Chungs(Dry Cleaners) than there are people supporting Roy Pearson. His appointment as a judge expired yesterday and the ATRA wrote a letter to the people who were in charge of reappointing him. Please post your opinion on here. =)

If you lived in a poverty stricken area, where there are no jobs, no food, your family is hungry, the cubbards are empty, Your childrens feet are barefooted, their clothes are worn out, the government over you could not care about your plight, there are no government services and there are only 2 choices.
You either starve and watch your children starve as well.
OR
You can feed your family by illegaly entering into another country and working, taking a small part of the abundance that others have?
I am only looking for the answers that answer my question. Don't give me a long rundown about the law. Because if a law were made that would make it illegal for you to eat. You would break that law.
Just answer the immediate question.

If I join the Air Force Reserves, how long do I have to be in it? I want to join it but I don't want to be tied to it until they say I'm to old to be in it. And do you know how hard the training is and how long it takes? Thats the only problem I see... Im not used to being away from home for a long time. I've only been gone from home for 1 week (that is the longest I've ben away from home).

Three Arkansas surgeons were playing golf together and discussing surgeries they had performed.

One of them said, "I'm the best surgeon in Arkansas. In my favorite case, a concert pianist lost seven fingers in an accident, I reattached them, and 8 months later he performed a private con cert for the Queen of England.

The second surgeon said. "That's nothing. A young man lost an arm and both legs in an accident, I reattached them, and 2 years later he won a gold medal in track and field events in the Olympics."

The third surgeon said, "You guys are amateurs. Several years ago a woman was high on cocaine and marijuana and she rode a horse head-on into a train traveling 80 miles an hour. All I had left to work with was the woman's blonde hair and the horse's ***. I was able to put them together and now she's a senator from New York."

Clearly the tax cuts did not cost revenue - revenue has been relatively constant in proportion to GDP for 40 years, and revenue is up dramatically since the 2003 tax cuts - note, in real dollars it fell after Bush Sr's tax hike...

Clearly the budget problem is a matter not of too little tax revenue but of too much spending, as spending has gone up even faster than revenue!

Clearly the benefits did not go 'only to the upper classes' - their effective tax rates are UP, while those for the lower income groups' are DOWN - and that's even assuming there is a "they," which we have repeatedly shown there isn't - we've shown time and again on these boards that high income people are low income people 25 years later.

I find that many people consider major broadcasting networks and many cable networks to have a liberal bias, when myself as a liberal, I find it not true and that many have conservative biases sometimes as well.. Is it in the eye of the beholder? Or is it really that Conservatives only feel that media is fair when it reaffirms their beliefs, and when it disagrees with them it is automatically Liberal?
