The width of the door should be a minimum of 81 cm

It is not just a question of width; it depends on whether there is a straight approach to the door or whether the user has to come in at an angle because the corridor from which they are approaching is too narrow to turn through 90 degrees. If there is a change of level at a doorway they need to approach square-on. Also consider that some people (amputees) have a stump board that increases the overall length of the chair. Taking into account all the differences in disabled peoples' needs (don't forget mobility scooters also), I would suggest 83 cm AS A MINIMUM if there were no other applicable access issues.

The absolute minimum is 28", but since wheelchairs are generally 26" wide, that requires clear passage on both sides of the door and it does not allow for the occupant's hands on the wheels. (Clear passage means that the user can move straight through the door without any kind of angle or turn.)
A door that is 30" wide is better, but a 32" door is the standard. This means someone in a chair can go through the door easily unassisted without risking damage to their hands on the wheels.

1. Call Pasco County Building Inspector/Commissioner. 2. If the house is old enough, check with the historical preservation society. 3. Check with Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, local churches etc. This website goes around the world and why you think some Nepalese Gurkha knows anything about Pasco County, FL, USA is beyond me.

I'm not familiar with the metric system conversion, but as a carpenter, I always frame handicap doorways at 36" finish; which is (without drywall) 37" minimum inside-to-inside measurement

36 inches, I think that's about 93 cm. The more leeway, the better.
