Pelosi job description does not allow her to negotiate anything with anyone. It would be like you setting pricing policy for the company you work for or doing contract negotiations.
If she did what she did in a business, she would have been fired.

I noticed this as well.After bashing Pelosi, the Bush administration is following in her footsteps.I hope they give her credit but I kind of doubt it.

Peloser probably created a mess that needs to be cleaned up by Rice. Why else? I can't imagine a better reason.
If Peloser doesn't try to do Rice's job, we'd save a lot of money on airfare, etc.

You got it backwards. Rice is in charge of diplomacy as Secretary of State. Pelosi is not. Her trip was functus officio.
