Anyone else finding this question ignorant?
Especially for “The Voice of........?” I am readdressing my question: “Is there a large difference in mentality between south and north states?”

The South is obsessed with religion, specifically Fundamentalism.

The North is almsot post-Christian.

That explains a lot.

nicely, in the present day human beings view all whites as one ethnicity. lower back then it wasn't so. someone's' nationality and ethnicity were nonetheless considered necessary and they weren't only all lumped mutually as "white". Southern whites seen themselves as a diverse "inventory" than Northern whites. maximum Southerners were Protestants descended from colonial British. The Northern whites were extra diverse with different eu stocks entering play. The Northerners seen Southerners as dumb and backwards. The Southerners seen Notherners as grasping and inferior. a lot of that mentality has carried on from each and each and every area to cutting-side-day.

Well, we got your 2 cents' worth.

Here's mine: I was born in California. Spent part of my childhood in Colorado, part in Florida and parts in between. I have family that live literally all across this nation, and I travel to Pennsylvania, Colorado and Florida annually. I live in the South.

Peel back the veneer, North or South, and you get the same thing. Americans.

There is no difference in mentality. There is a difference in civility. The south has better manners.

Culture, upbringing, tradition, an appreciation for good education, life-style and good manners.

Virtues that many Yankees sorely lack, as you demonstrate so well.
