Yes, typically the father must pay until the child is 18. However, if the child is severely disabled, the father must pay support for the rest of the child's life.
Note: some people have entered into support agreements where the father agrees to pay all or a portion of university expenses.

That depends on your states emancipation laws. You can look those up online at your states child support enforcement site or state statutes. If in doubt, you can file a motion to termiante child support with the court and have a hearing for the Judge to make this decision. I would not stop paying support and would file the motion for the court to decide. Normally child support continues to age 18 and graduation from high school.

A child does not emancipate jsust because she has a baby herself; only if the child reaches the stated age of emancipation in the ORder; graduates; or becomes self supporting.
If child and grandchild still live in the home of the mother, father is still obligated to pay support for his child.

although his idiot daughter got knocked up by another idiot he's still responsible for making payments. There is nothing in a order for support that stipulates support is no longer required when a underage idiot gets pregnant.
His bets option would be to find out how the daughter can become an emancipated minor, but that will require an attorney.

She's still a minor. He has a moral and legal obligation to provide for her at least until she is 18. If he wants to try and get out of that obligation then he's not much of a man.
