Can you name the major thing Republicans put on Clinton's plate during the latter part of his Presidency that might have kept him distracted and unable to focus his attention on his job?

Give up?

Answer: A trial about his sex life.

So have we learned that perhaps digging into the sexual habits of a sitting President is a bad idea?

"esident Bush warned Congress Friday that he will continue vetoing war spending bills as long as they contain a timetable for the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq.

But he made clear that if Democrats insist on including timetables again, he will not hesitate to bring out his veto pen."

I hate him for it. I want our men home.

Man mocks me in bar by saying "my shoes are worth more than your house!" - What is this?

I bumped into a man at the bar by accident the other night. I apologized and said it was very crowded.

The guy then took a deep breath and said "Look, pal!!! You better watch your step. Do you know who you bumped into? My shoes cost more than your house!"

Obviously the man had an ego problem but I'm very confused about the "My shoes cost more than your house!" comment.

What does this mean?

They've been holed up waiting for a democrat to hit us really really hard, because I think they believe the US will not even react even if they kill hundreds of thousands with a democrat in power.
What do you think a democrat will do when AQ slams us bad?

Delusional: because they have this belief that U.S.A is suppose to be picture perfect country so anything that the Government does must be true, which means they are in denial no matter how messed up or possibly even corrupted with spike in oil prices and unnecessary war.

Selfish: For those rich oil tycoons who benefit from Bush having tax cut for them is completely oblivious to poor to middle class Americans income and how they have to struggle to pay for gas to go to work everyday and make ends meet. Sure if you're a millionair or billionair who cares about gas prices going up to 5 bucks a gallon. It's pocket change for them considering how much tax money they save from Bush's tax cut to the wealthy people.

I conducted an analysis comparing pollution data and the relative "blueness" of the states.

Polution data come from:

http://www.scorecard.org/env-releases/hap/rank-states.tcl

"Blueness" came from the 2004 presidential election:

http://www.uselectionatlas.org/

I ranked the states by their pollution and their blueness, for example:

Washington, DC: 3rd in pollution, 1st in "blueness."
New York: 1st in pollution, 5th in blueness.
Wyoming: 49th in pollution, 48th in blueness.

These are significant correlations.

The biggest differences were for Vermont: 4th in blueness, 48th in pollution, and Maine: 10th in blueness, 44th in pollution.

Using equations available in any college level statistics book, I determined the correlation coefficient to be 0.58 (a coefficient of 1.0 is exact sameness, -1.0 is exact opposite, zero is "uncorrelated")

Does this explain why libs are more worried about global warming, because they live in more polluted environments?

And it is not congresses job to just give him every thing he wants? If Bush does not sign the funding bill, its HIS fault alone if the troops run out of money. And for the slow witted ones here, the time-table is not set in stone, its open ended, and allows for troop increases and redeployment as long as Bush can go before congress and give reasons for it. Bush has the only bill he will be getting, they will ALL have time tables in them. Its no longer up to Bush alone what he does. Its called checks and balances, and if the republicans had some balls to begin with, this would not be an issue today, they would have fixed it 3 years ago.

Today he said that if Congress tries to push another bill containing "that which I've said is unacceptable, of course I won't accept it."

Why is he the only person in the country allowed to determine whether something is acceptable or not? He's not a freaking king. This is not a dictatorship.
