And it will happen....but that's what our government gets for letting them produce everything that we need.
China is going to be a serious problem one day.

Laugh since it would kill them economically. We are their largest trading partner, hell Walmart is their 6th largest partner alone, they couldn't afford it. Beyond that, we would probably be happy for a while as it would help the balance of trade and foreign debt issues and raise the value of the dollar.
Look back into history, specifically around the Napoleonic wars. The US tried to pass trade sanctions against both England and France (two major trading partners). The two of them laughed it off and we almost went broke.

Wal Mart will yank (no pun intended) all it contracts and move them to India or Malaysia. Would be kinda stupid of them anyway considering the trade balance is tilted strongly in there favor. What American products would they boycott?

quit selling them cement and building supplies.
bring all our factories back ..
invest heavily back into our own country..
the only economic sanctions they could do is refuse to sell us what?
if the nationalize the investments it only kills the goose that is laying the golden egg...

the dems will try and tighten that noose and they should. i feel that the reps have let business blind them to the long term effects of their actions. besides, how hard would it be to set up a factory to make bobo paddles in the states.

Try this scenario - what happens to China's economy when the US closes its ports to them? China needs access to the US market, just as almost every other country in the world does, or it's economy will tank.

that would be horrible, but since we buy so much stuff from them it would not be in thier best interests either. Walmart would go out of business.
