Or simply a mistake.

If the car killed say 650,000 people would it be the buyers fault for believing the report? Or the selers fault for knowingly producing the false report?

Can you do that?

Obviously, we don't know everyone in person, but base on their questions or answers, you can tell what kind of person they are. Some of you have probably some people on their mind.

Pick one of them (or list them!) and say something nice about them.

10 pts, people!

P.S.Don't say me!

P.S.S. This is for the ones who hasn't done this yet. It's a feel good question. Come on, 10 pts.

First off, I'd appreciate it if no one mocked my lack of knowledge. The reason I'm here is because I do want to learn about something I don't know about.

I'm thinking about changing my first name for personal reasons. I read that I'm supposed to get a court order of some sort, but I've never ever dealt with anything legal like passports or anything of the sort, so I need you guys' help. The closest thing I've done is get my license at the DMV, but I digress. To begin, where do I even start? I live in California, and I don't know where to get a "court order". Is this process going to be complicated? I'd think you just fill out a form and get it approved by some sort of judge, pay a fee and it's done. But it's not that easy, right? Or is it?

Can someone please explain the process to me step by step?

Bush has set benchmarks for the Iraqi government, but has steadfastly opposed attaching any timeframe to them or any actions if they are not met.

So basically if Iraq doesn't reach the goals then we just stay forever? I thought the whole point of staying is for Iraq to take over but if the US can not quell the violence of the civil war then the troops are going to be there forever doomed to possibly die trying to protect a failing government set up by George and Tricky dick Cheney. What a way to try to win a war, lets not have an exit strategy but instead just keep dumping money into a flawed war where the enemy is faceless.

What would happen if you wrote 2 different checks, come to find out there bad, one for $400 and one for 900? My friend is in this situation, all he got was collection agency's... nothing on the law side as of yet, he lives in Iowa. If he starts paying on them payments, would they stop sending letters? Once and awhile would send them now. What can happen?

A doctor has applied for a patent on new technology involving use of advanced computers to create a new type of organism. One of the goals of his research is to genetically improve these organisms for use in human organ growth and transplant. The doctor says that if he is not granted a patent, he intends to continue his work either in the United States or overseas. My question is should this activity be a violation of the law, a deviant act or none of the above? Why do you think that? Should developers of new technology be required to have their innovations screened before they are developed? I need opinions please... Thanks

But what helps you to decide, and vote for who you want? Because I am confused on the candidates. I like universal healthcare. But I like some of the Republicans view on the environment. Also the Republicans view on the Iraq war; I like. Thanks for any input.

My 18 year old son was charged with burglary, a class D felony in Indiana, 20,000$ bail. He said he did not steal anything, they have him on video in the house. Would'nt that be considered breaking & entering. He was in the house but nothing was taken. He will get a court appointed lawyer and I will not be bailing him out. This is his first offense and if I have anything to do with it, it will be his last, that is why I will not bail him out. He done the crime now he will serve the time.

Nobody likes this war. YES, it turned out to be all for the wrong reasons, but if we leave will it signal weakness and defeat for America? What's next?

If so, then explain this:

The $25 million Northern California vineyard she and her husband own is a non-union shop.

She and her husband own a large stake in an exclusive California hotel with more than 250 employees – none of them union.

The Pelosis also are partners in a restaurant chain with 900 employees – also a non-union shop.

The kyoto accords do not incluce China and other developing nations, however at some point if the man made global warming crowd is correct and globalwarming is the problem they say it is would it be prudent to us the force of the US military to bring the world into compliance with international enviromental agreements even if it means nuking China for their disregard of carbon emmisions

If there is no military solution available, why are the Democrats even bothering to fund the war? Why are they setting forth timetables, most of which make sure troops STAY in Iraq until late summer/early fall 2008? It's not a matter of needing a veto-proof majority; just don't pass a funding bill.

I Strongly believe we need to succeed in Iraq. but I'm trying to understand the reasoning. Sincerely. Thanks.

OK, dealing with the war funding bill...

Before the whole fiasco started, Bush said he would veto any bill that included a withdrawal date. Period, the end. However, Congress, knowing this, put the date in the bill anyway, knowing good and well it would get vetoed.

Now, cutting military funding is political suicide, no doubt about it. But if Bush hadn't said anything beforehand, and simply vetoed the bill, he would pretty much kill any chance of a Republican in the Oval office in '08.

SO what is the difference? He said he would veto the bill BEFORE Congress even passed it! So he passed the burden of responsibility on to Congress. In other words, the Bill was already vetoed by the time it was passed.

Bush knows that, since cutting funding is political suicide, Congress is going to HAVE to pass a "clean" bill before funding runs out. So he is just biding his time, gonna veto the Bill, and Congress is gonna have to hurry up and pass a new, clean bill so that the troops get their funding. Because once the money runs out, and people see the news reports of Soldiers in Iraq without proper equipment, Pelosi and the other nutjobs are GONE.

What do you think? Will Congress eventually pass a “clean” bill? Is this just really smart planning on the part of George Bush?
