To support catching criminals but not serve as a police officer?

To support fighting fires but not work as a fireman?

To favor treating the sick and injured but not become a doctor?

To support the war in Iraq but not enlist?

To support a woman's right to an abortion but not take a job at an abortion clinic?

This is in politics because the issue seems to come up here a great deal.

He is a proven terrorist, and the one responsible for 9/11. Since we have graciously given him every dime he has asked for, and more...without demanding accountability for millions of dollars 'lost', do you think he could manage to focus on Bin Laden, so we don't get attacked AGAIN?

When he is no longer president? Who do you vote for, and what will their platform have to be? SO far I haven't heard any candidates standing on closing our borders...only amnesty seems to be popular with the republicans, so who do you vote for to make you safer?

The Soviet Union spent 9 years in a war in Afghanistan.. was bled dry from this.. then collapsed 2 years later.

With the speed at which we are spending in Iraq.. should we look at history and think for a moment so as to not repeat the mistakes of others?

I seem to remember, from school, it being around 7-9 years. That would mean we are coming to the conclusion of the Clinton administration, but I can't find anything written, or links to this formula.

Since everytime something goes wrong, its always someone else's fault. From the Veterans hospital in Washington to the Abu Garaib torture chambers, its never the administration's fault. Why is that?

Every First Lady I can remember had some public exposure during her husbands presidency. They have projects and initiatives that they sponser or lend their support to.

I have heard not one word from her or about her for years.

What does this say about the president?

When the dems took control of congress? I was just wondering, when so many told us that if dems win, the terrorists will attack us, and we will no longer be safe. What happened? Where are they all? Why aren't I wearing a burka, like I was told I would have to,when I voted for dems? Are they back ordered? What's going on?

Especially how the Bush tax cuts affected from the filthy rich down to families.
Yes, the rich got the cuts to, but so did families.
It works like this. Big and small business get the tax cuts, making room for more investment and hiring into the business creating jobs.
If I owned a company, and taxes were increased, I would lay people off to, and so would any business smart liberal.
The tax cuts also affected individual families with across the board decreases. I'm paying around 15% in FICA now where as I was paying around 19% under Clinton. Also, there is the child tax credits to take into account.
Relish this. If the tax cuts aren't extended. An average family of four can expect their income tax bill to go up approximately $4000.00 a year. That of course would be higher or lower depending on their income.

Ok, liberals, time to vent......but this time only use factual statements and not what you BELIEVE.
Personally, I believe his biggest failure was when the Republicans held the White House and BOTH houses of Congress, he didn't ram conservative legislation down the throats of Liberals. Instead, he wanted to show nonpartisanship and play nicey nice with the backstabbers that didn't get voted out. Lesson learned, I hope, for future conservative leaders that you cannot work with the left, you must crush them.

My daughters father is suppose to pick her up from school this afternoon. He text 9am to say that he wouldn't be able to pick her up because he has to do something, and then he's going to work and when he gets off he won't have time to get her by the time she gets out of school. He said that he can meet me tomorrow to get her.

I told him, that I have already arranged to work late for someone. He then said that he wouldn't be able to get her and that I would have to find someone to pick her up. I asked him why did he decide to go to work afterwards, (he has a job he can makeup the hours), he could pick her up first than go to work (desk job, no one would be around). He said that said couldn't get her. I told him it was his weekend and that if she's not picked up from school they will call CPS. He always wants me to rearrange my schedule when he doesn't want to pick her up. He could have done 'whatever' yesterday or tomorrow. Why the day he has to pick up our daughter?

will be vetoed by the President will come back to hurt them in the next election? They can't have it both ways...i would respect them more if they voted to not fund the war rather than them playing politics with our soldiers' lives. This is a pure political move by the democrats to try and stay elected. I think it is pathetic.

Cameraman Jose Couso died in the Hotel Palestine in Baghdad in 2003, with a Ukrainian colleague, Taras Portsyuk.

Judge Santiago Pedraz has previously issued several arrest warrants for Sgt Shawn Gibson, Capt Philip Wolford and Lt Col Philip de Camp.

However, the US has made clear it will not hand them over.

Judge Pedraz charged the three men with homicide and "a crime against the international community".

This is defined under Spanish law as an indiscriminate or excessive attack against civilians during war time, says the Associated Press.

After the incident, which was highly publicised at the time, then-US Secretary of State Colin Powell said American troops had come under fire from the hotel.

I believe they went into Iraq with good faith at the time due to the 9/11 attack. However, no WMD's were discovered but we did unseat a tyrant and then.... There was no upfront homework done and they listened to a shrewd Shi'a character paint a rosy picture of our welcome which never transpired. We cannot change the current situation without hundreds of thousands of troops and it is not going to happen so, let's save our Billions

The outcome, although we got right through to Bahgdad, has been a disaster and Bush should concede and use all this hue and cry to get out -- why won't he?
