Firstly in India it is not the suit for sexual harassment, it is the criminal complaint against the sexual harassment, the offence which is provided under the Indian Penal Code,1860 as in section 509 Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman :-
Whoever, intending to insult the modesty of any woman, utters any word, makes any sound or gesture, or exhibits any object, intending that such word or sound shall be heard, of that such gesture or object shall be seen, by such woman, or intrudes upon the privacy of such woman, shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.
The criminal procedure code section 468 provides the period of limitation, in relation to an offence. In this case as the maximum punishment is one year the period of limitation will be one year, from the date of offence committed. Section 472 of the Criminal procedure code provides In the case of a continuing offence, a fresh period of limitation shall begin to run at every moment of the time during which the offence continues.

Check with the lawyer. Each state (location) is different.
It also depends on the crime, in some case there is no limit and in other case it is 72 days (this is in same state).
