Today he said that if Congress tries to push another bill containing "that which I've said is unacceptable, of course I won't accept it."
Why is he the only person in the country allowed to determine whether something is acceptable or not? He's not a freaking king. This is not a dictatorship.

I completely agree! My father likes to refer to him and his power as a "kid with a bulldozer." Everything that he touches or tries to change is destroyed. I hope that he will get impeached... It is nice to know that others out there are against what the republicans have done in office ;-)

he is not the final say, it goes back and his veto can be over ridden but the congress does not have enough votes. that is why all the stink about bill that took four months to get to the president all the time knowing it was going to be defeated. just trying to position for '08 i reckon.

Karl is correct. It was Thomas Jefferson. You can't change the rules just because you don't like the president. The democrats are misreading the resolve of the American public. It's going to be amusing to see their stunned faces the day of the 2008 election.

He has the right to veto congress. Its great that the president has this power, obviously congress has no idea of how to run the country. First they vote for the war then claim they were tricked, if they were tricked then im sorry they are too stupid. - Hillary we know what you;ve done.

OK so you don't understand our system of government.
So why do you have an opinion about any part of something you can comprehend?
He has the power we gave it to him. God save the President.
