Source: Iraq did not do 9-11....Iraq no threat to the USA...No WMD...70% of Americans are against the Iraq war. ( Novernber election...Remember?) The Iraq war will end up like the worthless war called Vietnam. The troops have died and been wounded for nothing.

I know why we went into the war, but why exactly are we still there? I am looking for intellectual answers here. Not Bush bashing and what not. I support the war, and Bush. But, I am a bit lost as to what our goals are over there. Thanks ahead of time.

I've been saying for months, the libs would try to PAY OFF the terrorists.
Barack Obama wants to pay them $ 50,000,000,000.00 a year to behave themselves.
They won't have to highjack airliners, they'll be able to buy real bombers to hit us with.

What is your opinion on raising the salary to be more in line with what CEOs of Fortune 500 companies earn, say $1 million a year, to entice more qualified individuals to run for President?

Ok.. so we (the Democrats) have the majority so obviously you Republicans aren't going to get it your way.. but there are still plenty of you guys (more than enough) that we aren't going to get it our way either... so ... since there has to be more than just 2 options for Iraq... what else can we do? What other ways might there be.. what other answers to this problem? No matter how big or small lets hear them.. spin off ideas are more than welcome... call it an exercise in brain storming.

Republicans all too often go with their "gut feeling" and ignore the facts when it comes down to making vital decisions on foreign and domestic policy, tending to ignore the facts and supress contrary points of view. Whether it concerns bi-partisan recommendations of the Iraq Study Group, scientific papers on global warming, church in public schools, birth control, gay marriage, or taxes vs. deficit reduction, you will always find Republicans on the side of the issue that is least logical and least supported by evidence. Is the Republican leadership too hysterically swayed by their own personal feelings to make intelligent decisions?

If we cut and run Iraq will collapse into a terrorist breeding failed state (plus the world will know we've failed).

It should also be obvious to anyone with half a brain that we are not winning now, and can't ever win with the current level of troops.

Why can't everyone (including the generals) just admit the obvious - only the draft and at least 500,000 troops on the ground can win this war.

I'm a Liberal, all of my friends are Liberals, but a lot of us own guns--several guns--including handguns, short-barrelled tactical shotguns (designed for shooting at peoaple, not ducks), automatic or semi-automatic rifles commonly referred to as assault rifles, such as AK-47s, Armalites, AR-15 (an M-16 type rifle) and on and on. One of the most liberal guys I have ever known-- a college professor!!!-- has about 30 or so handguns!

Think this is odd? What about Hunter Thompson? He was as liberal as they come, and as gun-nutty as they come.

had nothing to do with national interests would you Cons have stood by him so strongly as you standy by Alberto "Amnesia" Gonzalez?

Or...is that you never question leaders who play for your "team"? This team mentality you have is sophomoric to say the least, treasonous to say the most.

And...don't try to explain to me that they "serve at the pleasure of the Pres." B.S. b/c if the Pres. wants you to commit voter fraud by prosecuting innocent people to influence upcoming elections, you are obligated to say NO and still retain your job.

As Americans we should applaud these fired attorneys for what they have done! Aparently putting justice and country over party is something that Repubs. can't grasp these days.
