Just please answer the question - enough with the "but but but it's not all of them" BS - - they all carry around a book that says that Allah wants them to do these things.

there would be no need to posess one as a means of self defense, there would be no need for police to have them or any need for there use in wars. think of it this way if there was a particular food that only led to death or serious illness would we still manufacture that product. weapons aren't tools that have multiple purposes there designed for one thing. and before someone goes on about constituional rights, this was put in place to stop the the english from coming in to your home and harming you, but again if there were no weapons would this still matter. I know this will never happen but i was wondering.

I just had a conversation with my very elderly grandfather, he's 95. He spent his career in the Treasury, and then moved up ranks quickly to become a Secret Service agent assigned to the President. Then Pearl Harbor hit and he begged to be put in battle. He was refused countless times due to his need within the Presidential detail. He was allowed to train then heard nothing. Then the Secretary of the Navy heard about Pappaw and said "he could enter into hell in Tawana". He did. His only battle. He was given a Navy Cross and the Medal of Honor (which I have).

Paps returned to Washington to his original post. Guarding FDR.

My Pappaw claims he was outside the door, heard a gunshot, rushed in and found FDR at his desk with a gun in his hand, and bullet to his head. The door was locked. He says that there was no stroke. Pappaw was immediately reassigned, and "forced to leave Service" and then swore to secrecy.

Anyone ever heard of this? A possible suicide?

Haven't we been hearing the same rigamarole for almost two years now since Cheney said "the terrorists are in their last throes?"

It seems like every time Bush or anyone from his cabinet starts on about Iraq they mention how we are "making progress" and "turning corners" there.

We've turned a corner all right. Right into a back alley.

Monica Goodling's (Gonzalez's liason to the White House) attorney, said that he advised her to plead the 5tt, because the Democrats have set a perjury trap for her, like they did for Scooter Libbey. Perjury means that someone has lied under oath, right? So don't lie under oath and there's no perjury, right?

By the way, I remember Patrick Fitzgerald saying that he made offers, to several people, to change their testimony. Several did, but Libbey declined to change his testimony.
And I do seem to remember a little something about Libbey being found guilty by a jury of his peers. Citizens of this country, like you and I, found overwhelming evidence that he lied under oath.

Something tells me, that if the U.S. took 15 Iranian hostages in similar circumstances, liberals would be accusing Bush of trying to start WW3. Here, we have liberals silent on Iran's behavior. Is it because liberals are the American branch of Al Qaeda?

My husband is in BCT for the army right now, and his MOS is going to be 15T... I was wondering if anyone knew what to expect? Deployments? Length? Location? Stationed at?

I know that you can't tell me all of this stuff, but I wanted to see if anyone had experience with this MOS, and what it was like for them?

I just read a response that the US is divided, thanks to the dems. Do you believe this? And isn't that sort of comment furthering the division? How about we realize that it isn't either you agree with us, or you are the problem? Sometimes this is exactly why I dislike this admin so much...I never knew another admin to call americans 'terrorists' or scare america into thinking that a vote for one party was a vote for the enemy...it is toxic language (whether you agree or not) and serves no purpose but to feed the animosity of the extreme right. So, do you blame dems for the division in america? Or is it really the inability to COMPROMISE?

I had just entered a pub/bar with a friend and we proceeded to sit down. Just then a barman approached us and asked for ID. My friend said she hadn't any and I gave him my fake one. Asking us both to leave, he said he needs to confiscate the ID.

I didn't attempt to buy alcohol with it, just to stay in the pub. I assumed that you were allowed in pubs over the age of 16; you're just not allowed to drink.

He said that they have to hand it in to a particular place and they decide whether to contact the police or not.

So what I am really wanting to know is, what is likely to happen?

Please help!

IS BUSH A LIAR? IF HE IS:

Name ONE lie, and show me the evidence of it.

DO NOT tell me to read a book

DO NOT link me to a website: because i can not debunk all of those in one thread

GIVE ME ONE SPECIFIC LIE (make it a nice big one, not something about the weather, or that will just show how much you need to stretch to try to make him look bad) and the EVIDENCE to support it.

IF YOU CALL HIM A LIAR, AND CAN NOT DO THAT, CONSIDER YOURSELF WORTHLESS HYPOCRITE!

As some of you may know, my boyfriend of 7 years has been physically and emotionally abusive. On a friend's advice, I talked to the doctor yesterday to have it documented. What I didn't know is that they're obligated to call the police. They arrested him, and he's now in jail.

The question of whether or not to prosecute was hard enough, especially with him using his one phone call to tell me he loves me and ask me to stay with him and all of the typical things he says.

But this morning, the arresting officer called me and said that he has priors in another city for beating his ex-wife and if I prosecute, this would be a felony.

I don't know what I should do. I don't even know what sort of punishment he'll be facing because it's a felony. Does anyone have any advice or information? I just want to make a clean break from this relationship. I didn't want the police involved at all, but since it's too late, I want to at least make the right choice.

Even if they have an opinion, which is ok, should they have the right to call our "elected officials" nasty names ? This is not right. Just because they have the celeb. status, should not give them the right to demoralize our elected officials. If you or I
do that, we will be under FBI watch. And rightfully so.........
they give no suggestions on solving problems, just rotton
remarks.
