When the troops pull out specifically. I mean are you going to get an individual sense of relief?

I love our troops. I support our troops.

But they need to be back home.

Not fighting someone else's war.

US troops should NOT be in Asia, Europe or the Middle East.

If we closed the borders, ended all immigration from the Middle East and even deported some legal immigrants, we wouldn't have to worry about Islamic terrorist attacks on US cities. How can a starving Muslim guy sitting out in the desert, surrounded by mountains cross the atlantic ocean? He can't unless the feds bring him in -- which they are doing?

The Feds are so PC, they're not willing to close US borders and shut down immigration. So they instead invade Middle Eastern countries.

People need to stay in their own countries.

The US needs to drill for oil in our own backyard while developing alternative energy sources.

When the war is over, I'll be happy and breath a sigh of relief.

The US military should be deployed along the border. Already, America has been infiltrated by 50 million foreign men who know our strengths and weaknesses and our infrastructure. These foreign men work in our food plants and farms. Many of these men are in gangs. That's the real threat.

I would be lieing if I were to say no. I know my husband wants to stay until the job is done, until the country is at least slightly secure, but one less day with him there is one more day I'll celebrate. It meas one less day I cant sleep without him, one less day I worry, one less day I have to think "what if he doesnt come home" and realize it would break me. Say all you want about my deserving what I get for marrying a man in the Marines, but any war makes military families worry and when it ends and our loved ones come home we always have a sense of relief.

Relief that their lives are no longer in danger, as they face today. But most of all a feeling a gratitude and pride. There is no way to express the how grateful I am for their sacrafices and the tremendous service they have done. They way they have conducted themselves make me proud to say I am an American.

EVERY AMERICAN, whether you agree with the war or not, should do all we can to pressure our government to ensure these soldiers are taken care off (physically, financially and terms of mental well being). No one should ever take for granted all they have given and done.

I don't remember us dancing too much in the street when we pulled out of Vietnam, but then, the media focused mainly on us shamefully running as fast as we could while Saigon fell.

It depends. If we win - yes.

If we do not win then there will be no relief because there will only be a bigger and worse war in about 10 years.

Absolutely.
I mourned by wearing black when the war began and when Bush was elected both times.
I know that I will be celebrating when this unjust war is finally over!

Yes...I'm tired of going to Iraq (3 tours). I'm also tired of seeing my Army buddies get killed.

That whole part of the world is a hole. I say, let the Iraqis kill each other.

well seeing as how we can't possibly win
I will just be happy when the war is over. I think we need to leave now and just not disappoint ourselves.
