My wife is at work and there is no water in the building today. Is it legal or ethical for her employer to keep the office open?

It's a small office, in a BAD neighborhood, and she is often there alone. So walking down to the corner store is NOT a safe or feasible option.

Ethics is on your perception. i could imagine some thing is moral, yet you do not. So that's a very difficult question to respond to. i believe drug regulations are unethical. i do not imagine the authorities has a suitable to dictate what we can and can't positioned into our bodies. human beings sense the regulations about drugs are moral because of what drugs do to you. So, that is extra suitable? legal, for sure. no longer purely because ethics change from individual to individual, yet as well because you get punished for violating a regulation. you do not visit detention center for being unethical.

Whats the big deal? Can't she get thru a day of discomfort? We used to lose our water every once in a while. We still had to stay and work. I don't know if it's legal or not, but it had to be done.

Do you suppose the boss could help the employees find a bathroom in some other building? And maybe bring in some 5 gallon jugs of water for drinking, hand washing, and for coffee.?

she wants to make a scene and go on a strike because of no water :) i would call her up and see that!!!

yes it is employer's responsiblity to provide basic toiletries and running water and safe place to work...

no water =
bad smell =
no fluid =
not safe or confortiable place to work = no work..

if u want it to yes technically itson ur side but ethically its wrong to walk out on a job because of that excuese.

have they provided bottled water and made alternative toilet arrangements? - the latter must be a legal requirement.
