This is a statement made by the Midwife Ina May Gaskin, in my view, the most revolutionary of all Revolutionaries, in her latest book Ina May Guide to Childbirth. Please do not attempt to answer unless you have something to contribute, albeit your own founded thoughts. Thank you.

Iran is saying the soldiers were in Iranian waters and Britain is saying they were in Iraqi waters.... I read that the borders were disputed where the soldiers were taken captive so no one really knows which they were in. What actions do you think should be taken, if any??

My sister just ended a 6 year relationship with her boyfriend and father of her two boys.

At first she thought the two of them would just agree to a "set amount" for child support and visitation. We finally got her to make an appt with my atty after telling her that she needs to at least see what her rights are and that it's best to have it all done through the legal system - now I'm just hoping she'll keep it.

What I'm looking for are any convincing arguements - perhaps personal experience or people you know - that will help us convince her that she's doing the right thing in consulting an atty to have this done.

I always thought of conservatives as big-business oil tycoons and the like, and liberals as inner city middle class or underpriviledged people. (in general of course).

I have a family member who was in prison from '59-'65. I know what the charge was and I would like to get more information on the case. I had a 'falling out' with the only family member who would be able to give me more information. Is it possible to get records from the court for that far back?

Hi recently I have been very disgusted by news from around the country regarding the horrific abuse of children. I want to do something to make a change. I have forwarded the folllowing websites to all my friends and family. http://www.familywatchdog.us
and http://meganslaw.ca.gov/
But I want to know what else can I do? If I were to print out newsletters and mail them or post them could I get in trouble? I know that sex offenders have to register, and are not supposed to be harrassed, so what are the guidelines how can I inform the community? (Without breaking the law?)

Why do the liberals on YA claim to care about the underprivileged then almost in the same breath insult conservatives for allegedly being poor?

Hell, I'm liberal, and I don't believe that nonsense. Please don't include us NORMAL liberals with the far left liberals that ramble on about a 9/11 conspiracy.

The Indian Government provides cash and other facilities for the Haj Pilgrimage undertaken by the Indian Muslims to Saudi Arabia once a year - they are taken by Public Sector Indian Airlines or Air India. I wanted to know if Hindus have such a scheme. I am in South India and plan to go on a pilgrimage to North India and Nepal if the Government provides me cash and rail tickets.

Or is it just a convenient one-liner to pull out when arguing about the war?

The term "win" here is relative. That particular mission was accomplished, removing Sadam and having a successfull election. However, since we still have our humanity we have deicded to stay there and train their troops so that they can handle the sectarian violence and have decided not to leave them high and dry. If we withdrew before they were ready to take over than the extremists would take over and all we have accomplished would have been for nothing and there will just be a new Sadam.

Do you understand now why this defense of "we already accomplished the goal now were just fighting their civil war for them". We are not fighting their civil war for them, we are trying to protect our investment (bllions of dollars, american lives etc.) that we have put into Iraq, if a new Sadam like leader takes over and its back to Sharia law, then all of this was for nothing.

Wow, it's looked to me like Iran has wanted to be part of the drama going on with Iraq for a few months now. First they threaten the United States by saying that they would crush the US military if the US was to go after Iran (however until then, none of us even looked at Iran), and now they have taken action by abducting 15 British troops who were on patrol in Iraqi waters. Is the government of Iran that starved for global attention that they would take such actions to involve themselves, and get into the path of Great Britain and the United States in the process? Both nations alone have the military might to crush Iran. Are they that dumb as to pick a fight with two nations that are much greater military powers?
