Why do the liberals on YA...?

Why do the liberals on YA claim to care about the underprivileged then almost in the same breath insult conservatives for allegedly being poor?

Good question. Poverty knows no political party affiliation. We should all do what we can to help those who need help. I am a Democrat. I am not rich and I am not poor, but as many are I am one major catastrophe away from being on the streets. There are poor conservatives in proportionate numbers to poor liberals. We must all work together to help each other. Being underprivileged (lack of good schools and health care) leads to poverty and higher crime rates. It is in our best interest to give the underprivileged (whether they be Republican or Democrat) a helping hand, and not to insult each other while doing so. I agree with you. Partisan bickering and personal attacks get us nowhere.

Why would you spend your time baiting liberals, rather than finding solutions that work for everyone? Just because they place their priorities on different aspects of the same problems you face, doesn't make them the enemy. Political parties are not sports teams- the only way one can win is if both win. Mindlessly arguing with emotional rhetoric isn't going to change any minds, and you know it. Why waste time dividing the country further?

A Straw Man argument is a type of logical fallacy, used to derail the topic by putting the other side on the defensive. The best you can hope for in employing such a tactic is a tie; because it forces you off topic too. Do you ever want to get anything done, or do you simply enjoy trolling for unproductive arguments?

Because that's what they do. They complain about conservatives doing something, then they turn right around and do the same thing to somebody else. They point their fingers and talk down to conservatives, but I guarantee you that the last person who told you how you should be living your life was a liberal.

Yeah, and they are supposed to be about peace, love, and understanding. But they live in a narrow minded world and every other opinion besides theirs is obviously not the right opinion. I've met some cool Liberals, but the majority of them on this site are hypocrits.

becasue there dumb. liberalism is a disease of stupidy. they make no sense and no valid point. its a form of comunism. they feel the goverment should tell you how to do it all. look at all the political corectness. its all from them. they feel the people of this country cant take care of themselves and they have to do it. thats why u have so many self help laws. like seatbelts helmets. also its the same crap that says we have to give all the kids a trophy no matter how much they suck. u know what if my son is good a football like me great if not. sucks to be him go find something else. they also would like to turn this country on the war like in vietnam. they clame those years of protests in the streets. people spitting on soliders and there glory years. if u think for one second they give to shiitts less about our troops u have another thing coming. they will hang us out to dry. and they loved it when the hippies called us baby killers and and spit on us. they would love to see it again. there the reason we wont win. they are the ones convicting the guys coming home now for war crimes when they were just doing there jobs. and the conservitives today wont do a damn thing to stop them. so at this point there all the same to me. or they would be helping us and standing up to those comies. they want people to listen to the jane fondas. im surprised we havent seen her comie traitores assss out there yet. like she did in nam. did u know she killed US troops in prison camps. the story goes that she was being given a tour by the north vietnemies. and she was insulting the prisoners while shaking there hands. they thought it was an act. and handed her a piece of paper with everyones name and ssn on it so she could get word out to the red cross that they were alive. at the end of the row she handed the paper to the guards. to prisoners were beaten to death right in front of her. and this country still lets her make movies. it makes me sick. people should not be afraid of there goverments. goverments should be afraid of there people and its time to remind this goverment of it. before what are fathers and generations before them fought and died to protect is gone.
