One person can't run anything larger than a small business. That's why presidents have staff, and delegate most of the matters of day-to-day governance to others.
With anything as large as a country, the government just kind of muddles along. In practice, much of the actual "running" of the country is done by citizens taking care of their everyday affairs, rather than by politicians making high-level decisions.
On average, a committee probably doesn't make any better decisions than a single president. Hey, perfect government would be nice, but utopia isn't an option. We have to make do with the real world.

We do have a body of leaders. There has to be a primary leader, but we have the Cabinet, the Congress, the other branches of government -- the president doesn't "do all the tasks" by himself.

A president does not run the country by himself. There is Congress & Senate, VP and of course the president has advisors. Ever heard of too many cooks in the kitchen? Having more then one president is an absurd idea.

It's has worked for 231 years. My guess is the House, Senate, Congress etc would be the body and 2 Presidents seems silly. Not sure where you are going with this question.

The President is NOTHING but a spokesman for the people NOT a political party.. Bush is a very strong spokesperson, who speaks his and ONLY his parties opinions too much and doesn't listen to what he is being told by the people who elected him. He or any other President is not suppose to be a POLITICAL PARTY.. A real President won't do this but unfortunately we are STUCK with the man until 2008 where I hope that we can finally get a President who doesn't feel his job is to FORCE his view down our throats. You are expierencing the worst case of a man over stepping his office in History.

We already have a body of leaders. There are experts in every field whose job it is to inform, direct and advise the president. The decision, however, comes down to one man. Thats why it is so important to elect an individual who is not arrogant and truly listens to and respects those around him who are better informed.

No, and that is why the constitution does not call for it or even allow it.
That is one of the current problems actually, too much power is amassed in the executive branch.
We have exactly what youre asking for, we just need to use it again to limit the power of each group and have them work together to run the country rather than work against one another in an effort to amass more power for themselves or for their party.

He isn't doing it all by himself. He has the Congress and Senate and all those along side him who are suppose to help. He just gets the blame when it doesn't work out. The president doesn't have as much power as people think he does.
