My name is Abdul Hamid ALBRITANNi its mean in Arabic:
Abdul hamid British National I was born in The uk, that why my parents gave me this name this is very common in Arab's cultures if you are American thay say Al-amiriki Saudian Saudi
now I'm a business man I allways travel to the middle East
Some people find my name interesting but some find it annoying because of the British presence in Iraq

In Iraq no one is save what ever name he/she is carrying. Better wait for some time to go over there. In the meantime Allah ma al Jameeah fi Iraq (God be withevery one in Iraq)

I don't think that this will be a big problem, after all you are an Arab, this will make it much easier for you to contact with the people there, or you can simply not use the last name and use your first name and the second one, or simply use the initials following your name, Good Luck out there.

That's very interesting. I didn't know Arabs did that. Well, if you only need to show your passport at the airport and maybe hotel, can't you just give a different name to other people?
