My sister loaned her ex-boyfriend some serious money and he won't pay her back. All he does is play games. She has threatened him with small claims court but it would just be another court case added to his list. She's to the point where she wants to destroy him for what he is doing. Any pointers?

If Mr. Al Gore was really concerned then why does he use on average $1200 a month for his electricity? Why does he fly every where he goes? I'm sorry I think that it is like Hillary when she says it takes a community. For Hillary, it takes a family, and to Gore it takes not just talking the talk, but walking the walk.

Right now I do not have a lot of money. But I would love to find ways to show my support. Any where to write letters to our troops, or any other ideas, be great. Thanks. Semper Paratus.

It occurs to me that people who were in their mid 20's in the latter 1960's in USA, are now about mid 60's and conservative as all get out. (Of course it is easy to be in favor of a war when you are not the one going to get shot, but that is another question). How did the hippies of the 1960's become the hardcore conservatives of the 2000's?

I just found out that an old friend of mine is in jail in the "Phillipines" for a drug offence. I looked up drug laws in that country and they are very harsh! All I know is he is there somewhere. Is there any where on the internet I could look to find his whereabouts? I'm in Canada.

Ok , they started a war in Vietnam- WHY? They invaded Iraq, (where are them WMD) there are more deaths there now than when Saddam ruling. You tell other countries they cant have nuclear weapons yet go ahead and beef up your arsenal. Why do they not get involved in the isralei/lebanon conflict? Oh sorry a sanction or 2, that showed em! The genocide in Rwanda was not met with the force of the Yanks.. No oil? The civil wars going in the old soviet block, how many GI's were sent to sort that lot out..must have been too cold..Oh and no oil.

When is Bush going to admit he wants to control the worlds economy by thinking of excuses to invade country's that are rich in oil when there are attrocities that need to be sorted out on an humane basis?

Almost 3,000 Americans died that day because of a sensless and murderous ideology. Why would any presidential candidate essentially ignore this tragedy? Will you vote for someone who doesn't even have the decency to at least mention it?

Is it because you never got over the beating you took in Vietnam in what was then an unjust war, a bit like Iraq today?

Which there probably won't be in the near future. But I was curious on this. To be an officer in the military you have to have a college degree. But with a draft, would that regulation be lifted? Thanks.

I've seen this too many times to count. One of the biggest county hospitals in LA, Martin Luther King Hospital, is struggling to survive and has severely cut services due to inability to carry the cost of all of the non paying patients. While it would be tragic to evict illegal immigrants from the hospital in this article, note that the alternative being discussed is for the hospital to stop ALL long term care for citizens and legal residents as well, because they just can't carry the cost.

I truly do believe that in this situation our citizens have to come first. The home countries of these patients should be shamed into giving them care.

We don't have 'extra' for 12 to 20 million more people.

What do you think?

as we all know they like to take our money to buy votes with at this point in time, but they are apparently more devious than that by taxing away the income from decent America they are dis- empowering some from having children and empowering others to raise children they figure will vote for them later, and in the mean time teach the childern in school to mis-trust and turn on their parents

Any thoughts on this? British Marines and Sailors have been captured for "apparently" going into Iranian waters, do you believe that it was intentional or is this another add on to the already tempestuous situation in the Middle East. Do you think they will be harmed? Let's hope they are treated well and nothing happens to them, I believe they should be let go.
