What drives people like the Nazis, KKK and Al-Qaida to do the sort of things they do? How mental do you have to be to want to wipe out a race or a religion?

Nazis where supposebly following orders from a man whos evil none can comprehend and whos power of oratory was truly amazing and that can never be understood.
That evil man i think was also being influenced by heinrick himmler who developed the Death camps. Hitler originally just wanted to deport them.
KKK is like that because they were raised to hate African Americans and because i think they feared the african Americans.
al Qaidea is brainwashed by insane clerics and sadly misinterperations of the Quaran. And from their parents as well.

You only picked 3 as an example.
Have you ever spoken to a Nazi, or a member of the KKK or Al-Qaida.
Because of where you are born, you are taught your values by people who have an agenda (even if they are not aware of it)
You may feel you are informed but the news you read, and see on TV is filtered, edited, and tailored. Just watch Canadian TV as compared to American TV.
Nazis were born no more evil than you, they just had control of the media, they taught one lesson, and the people followed like sheep. at the same time they were not told of anything negative, or what was going on around the corner.
There are people in this world that would call you an extremist
One mans terrorist is a freedom fighter to another.
In world war 2 when the Nazis invaded France people who fought against them were called "The resistance"
In Iraq they are called "Insurgents". It all depends on which side of the fence your on. Words are important.
What is the word for the Arab version of the term "Anti-semitic".
The word "Holocaust" was created for a reason, and you cannot find any on air personality in the USA who is not a supporter of Israel.
When you learn only one song, thats the song you will sing

I think IMHO that a lot of the people you call racist, are in reality "realists". If you look at the obscene level of crime and such in the minority areas, why would any self respecting person not of that race wish to have anything to do with them. I think all should be treated the same, but in my life and owning a business why is it that the only ones who whine the loudest are the blacks and Latinos. I fired one for coming in drunk, next day EEOC is there cause the guy said I called him the N word and was a racist. It was a lie, but cost me thousands for lawyers etc. Better to just keep your business under the Federal limit so that quotas don't apply. I now have 4 business doing the same thing but under different names. I still hire minorities, but don't have to worry about BS federal law suits.

How about the Black Panther Party. They are as extreme as they come. I can only guess that they believe extrem action is the only response left available to further their cause. Malcolm X , The Nation of Islam and Lewis Farrakhan are all examples of hate extremists.

You left out the Hispanic Supremacist groups and the black racists groups. I wonder why? MEChA, LULAC, La Raza, and the Nation of Islam are all racist groups. They hate white people. Al Qaeda are driven by their religion, Islam, to become Jihadists who then "defend" their religion by killing infidels. Killing because of religion has been around for thousands of years and will probably be with the human race for thousands of more years, if the human race lasts that long.

As for the leaders of such groups psycho-paths. As far as the people who get caught in their traps - People feel positive about themselves to the degree to which they feel they control their own lives. People feel negative about themselves to the degree which they feel they're controlled by external forces, or other people. The more people feel they're controlled by their employers, their health, their relationships, their childhoods, their race, or ANY other factor - they will feel out of control. They will feel apprehensive, unenthusiastic n' irritated. They will blame other people for their problems, and will be resentful of others who are doing better than they are. They will set themselves up for failure, cause they will draw into their lives more of the pessimistic things they contemplate all day long.
