President and troops degraded and not supported at all
Did you ever hear 1 lefty liberal say WIN
not once not ever. The left cast aside America and the War because of being sore losers over the 2000 election and got even nastier after the 2004 loss
Only Bush lied or the troops were butchering and killing
is what was ever heard. Where was the USA all the Way
No from the left there was only support and apologies to the terrorist and Hate for America and the office of the president
President Bush fought two wars one with Terrorist and one with Liberal Left Democrats/ Defeatacrats

Because was a carelessly executed train-wreck from the beginning. What does winning even mean at this point? We supposedly went in for WMD's - but they weren't there. Then it was to take out Saddam. Well he's dead. So now what is the objective? How do we "win" and what does it mean to lose?
Bush backers resort to the umbrella term of fighting terrorism but if we were really fighting terrorism we would have just gone after the proven terrorists Bil Laden and Al Quaeda. Which Bush now says "I don't know where Bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
So I guess the answer is: It was a grossly-mishandled falsely defined "war" from the beginning. And the reality is - there is no "winning" or "losing" it is just a horrible devastating ugly mess.
Thank You Mr. Bush.

Lack of proper planning. Bush, Rove, Cheney and their PNAC cronies banked on a short, decisive war like the 1990-1991 Gulf War. But that was a carefully planned, well timed action that was carried out with precision and skill. The Iraq War was a mess from the start, because no one realized how big Iraq is or how divided the people are. The problem with waging a war to bring democracy to a people used to dictatorship, is that they have to WANT a democratic government. It is clear from the factional fighting that the Iraqis do NOT want a democracy! They were happier when Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis all ruled their own separate areas. Sadly, not all people want unity. Now we've got a full-scale civil war amongst three warring tribes who hate each other...but hate our troops even more! Time to come home and let Iraqis figure out their own future.

It was never intended to be won. This is the first war against a noun "terror". This is the first war where the enemy is a word, "insurgent". 911 was simply the catalyst for another agenda. What that agenda is, only history will reveal. Its obvious, America has the technology, the resources, the know-how, and had the allies. If Michael Jordan was standing under the basket and missed a lay-up and the Bulls lost, everyone would scream he threw the game on purpose, especially knowing his history of gambling. We can crush any army on this planet, except for Russia, China, Iran, Israel, and India. Bush turned this into a long drawn out conflict on purpose. And whatever the real reason for us being over there is, it hasn't been accomplished yet. That's why the president has promised to veto any attempt to set a deadline to get our troops out of there.

They had no chance of winning the war. They never did.
First of all, Terrorism is the violent extension of any extreme philosophy. As long as people are able to have different opinions, can express those opinions and can pick up a rock or a tree branch to fight for those opinions, there will always be a risk of terrorism.
Second, they wasted time and money complaining about how the liberals were making it impossible to win the war, instead of figuring out what they were doing wrong. Its always easier for the emotionally insecure to blame others than it is to take personal responsibility (regardless what any republican says, personal greed is NOT responsible behavior).
Third, they went after the non-secular leader of a stable anti-terrorist government for whatever bullsh*t reason. Saddam Hussein was gassing those people who were actually supporting the terrorists. I've talked to people from that region. I know. As opposed to those conservative idiots who only think they know because some republican hypnotized them by waving a flag in front of their face.
Fourth, the conservatives constantly ignored warnings from the liberals that removing a non-secular leader form an irrationally secular region would only create the kind of social chaos, desperation and emotional turmoil that would make Iraq a breeding ground for terrorist movements.
Fifth, the conservatives continued to support a wackjob commander-in-chief who couldn't get anything done because to admit he was wrong might mean mean they would have to admit they were wrong and perhaps not the social default they think themselves to be.
Sixth, religious conservatives are driven by objective morality. They believe they wear the white hats and everyone else is a black hat by default. To admit anything else might be right casts doubt in their belief structure and may mean they might not get that nifty posthumous reward at the end of their meaningless lives.

Who said we lost? We overthrew Saddam in 3 weeks, we have captured and killed almost his whole administration including his 2 sons, we set up a democratic government, we have held numerous elections, ninety five percent of the country is living peacefully. We have more schools and hospitals operating now than when Saddam was in power. How is this a loss? Your neo-com talking points aren't working anymore. You are typical communist liberal who wants to see his country fail.

The conservatives do not manage the war. That is being done by the current administration as empowered by the congress. The war is not lost though there are people in the government that are trying to force us to surrender.

The war is opposed on all fronts by the misguided liberal media. Leftist, socialist liberal fools (the Democrats) own defeat. If America wins in Iraq (or any other country, including the US), Democrats lose. It's US against liberals.

Because it finally came out that they are not as smart as they think they are. And yes, the war is lost. It has been long lost. It is no longer a fight for freedom, liberty and democracy. And that type war will NEVER be won in the Middle East. So just face it. The war is lost. Now it is just a continuing struggle for the U.S. to find reasons to stay there, without losing thousands more US troops, and without falling on her sword.
All of Congress voted and all of them need to be fired. Most of them don't even take the time to READ the bills they call themselves passing. None of them admittedly, took the time to even read the Patriot Act! They were asleep at the wheel when they "voted" for this war. And they have been snoozing ever since......ALL of them.
