I would like to know what the basic beliefs of the conservatives are. Please no liberal bashing here. If you are a conservative can you define what neo-cons are? Do you have to be a republican to be conservative? I ask this because I keep finding myself somewhere in between. People always ask if I'm a Liberal or Conservative. Is that the same difference as being asked are you a republican or a democrat?

I graduated from college 3 years ago and have been working in the logistics industry. I always thought that I can rely on my employer to sponsor by Green Card but so far its only been promises after promises but no result. I'm an idealist and thought that if you work hard and stay positive in life you will achieve anything you want but now with my work visa expiring, I'm not sure what to do. Are there any other suggestions on what to do... Your thoughts are appreciated

Military veterans and flag twirlers paraded into the sanctuary, an enormous American flag rose slowly behind the stage, and a Marine major who had served in Afghanistan preached that the military was spending your hard-earned money on good causes.

We moved here from out of town and as soon as the weather turned half way decent discovered there is a 7 day a week sun-up to sun-down gun range just blocks away (hidden behind a huge bank of trees). This is unbearable. No one disclosed this to us so I am thinking who should we sue first.

Do native americans get special priviledges when traveling to europe?? Since europeans have been flocking to the americas since Columbus time.

I will be doing an internship with a local police department this summer. I have had to sign about 5 waivers now and I am starting to get concerned. I will be working in their office but I will also be doing a substantial amount of ride alongs with officers. Due to the potential hazards of doing a ride along, should I get a ballistic vest? I am asking here instead of at the internship site as I do not want them thinking I am a gung-ho out of control type or super paranoid, I am sort of both but I do not want them to know just yet. Thanks.

200 years ago we abolished slavery despite Africans and Arabs who wanted to keep it going as they were making a lot of money especially the African tribes who sold their own people. Decendants of the slaves should be celebrating abolition not asking for an apology as they are now free unlike modern slaves around the world including Europe who have no voice. Do you agree!!!!

What were the navy doing ? Doesnt the mother ship watch over them , with radar and I believe an helicopter, what were they doing letting some gun happy pirates, piss about with the Royal navy. I have a Canadian passort and a Russian one that I need to get re-done. This summer I want to go to Russia to get my money I left in the bank. I need to have a Russian passport to enter the town where the money is (or an approval, but those are usaully rejected). It'll take a year to get the Russian passport done, and I cant wait that long. If I go with the Canadian, they wont let me in the town, since its closed. What can I do about this? Can the town where the money is sent it over to a different location? Any ideas?
