Yes you can go to ranger school, Ranger school is open to just about any combat arms MOS (infantry, armor, artillery) since you are in the artillery section, you cannot however, to my knowledge, join a ranger battalion unless you are of the 11 series or have attended infantry OSUT.

Very good. As a 13F you are already out there in the middle of things as a forward observer or artillery liaison. It's not a very big step to some of the stuff rangers do, especially if you are already a good 13F. I was on active duty for 10 years and was a 13E , 13C, & 13F. 13E was the predecessor of 13C. We had no Tacfire computer and did all the computations by hand.

in case you bypass Airborne, and RIP you will flow to the Ranger Regiment. It was once Ranger Bat, yet they now have a help Battalion as area of the Regiment. The help BN infantrymen positioned on tan berets and each little thing, they only get their very own BN now.

Are you new to the military? If you are and you haven't been to MEPS yet ask for RIP( Ranger Indoc Course), if your in basic kick *** and try for RIP. Ranger Batt is starting new companies so they will be looking for fresh meat. If your new get into the best shape you have ever been in, and don't quit.
