I told my neighour to de-install it, he said it is his right. But it goes without saying that it imfringes my privacy. As expected, the police said it is not their duty. What practical tips you can give?

I'm French and I live in London. I can live here without any visa, i can work here and have the same rights than any English worker, i can buy a house here... It wouldn't be so easy without the EU.
I have many English friends, but also German, Italian, Spanish, Czech... Don't you think it's better than being in war like during the first half of the 20th century?
I know that the EU has many things that need to be improved. I'm sure you'll tell me about bureaucracy, loss of national independance or things like that but basically, would you prefer being alone in our current world? Please, explain to me why you're so many against the EU, more than in any other european country.

We live in a society based on knowledge and know how, a society based on complex factors, complex phenomenon requiring complicated and wise decisions.

Knowledge is power... and since DEMOCRACY (demos-cratos) is the voice to the people, shouldn´t they have a free access to what will enable them to better understand and decide ?

Isn´t expensive education a "distortion of competition" in a society who wants to be based on a free and fair market proving all entrants the same chances ?

And isn´t it freezing the social ladder which is the basis of the american dream ?

Doesn´t the benefit outweight the cost, especially if oriented toward sciences ?

I've noticed the on this site people seem to have a set of beliefs for illegal immigrants and ones that come here legally. Can a piece of paper mean that much difference? Is anyone prepared to just say they don't like immigrants PERIOD. Some have argued that an immigrant leaves their homeland and arrives in America to better their own circumstance NOT to help make America greater. The same people argue that because of this any immigrant is far more likely to TAKE than give (in respect to society). What do you think of this? I've heard many arguments for and against immigration.

If water can be distilled from the ocean or from waste for drinking and bathing, then why isn't australia doing so since their country is lacking the water needed for everyday life, instead of telling people they are being restricted with water and allowing the grounds, animals and people to suffer?

What is your neighborhood like?

Mine is all 2-3 bedroom houses. No apartments or condo's. The people who live here are (a) retired, mostly from New York, (b) working; mostly either construction or office jobs, (c) many with kids, mostly have dogs, (d) many whites, some blacks, and a few hispanics. Never see any asians here.
I guess the entire neighborhood is about 50 houses. Flat land in South Florida facing the turnpike.

I wish to find out how many people agree with me. I don't think the judge should make the decision. He is only one person and he may be prejudiced. I saw a program where a young lady shot her stepfather to death because he had been sexually abusing her since she was a little girl. She was found guilty of the murder and sentenced to life in prison. Maybe the judge was sexually abusing his daughter! From my point of view this was a justifiable homicide.

My ex husband hasn't paid his court ordered child support in a month and yet still wants to see our sont every other weekend. When I told him I didn't feel right letting our son go with him he claimed I was breaking the law by denying his parental rights. There isn't a court ordered visitation agreement and our son has been in my custody since he abandoned us. Is what he saying about "parental rights" true or have any basis?

Do you think companies develop a product simply to improve the comfort of consumers? Are you high? Without profit motivation, we would be living in the iron age. Do you think Edison did all that so people could read at night? He did it for the love of science AND the profit motivation. There are not nearly enough socialists to keep civilization progressing. Civilization progresses as innovation progresses. Innovation is fueled by profit motivation

Why wasn't a morally righteous white Christian and his followers the leader for civil rights instead of people like MLK and his followers?

Too bad white America did the right thing on equality only after a gun was held to their head by the oppressed minority group.

And some whites are still kicking and screaming. Republicans mostly.

Have just seen a trailer for ch4 dispatches talking about David Cameron called toff at the top - claiming that before he became tory leader he presented himself as a traditional hard line tory. The programme also mentions his membership of the 'Bullingdon' dining club at Oxford Uni - where I go, and I know the types of people in those clubs - elitist, irresonsible, drunken idiots (not like the rest of us honest) so what do you think.
