What is your neighborhood like?

Mine is all 2-3 bedroom houses. No apartments or condo's. The people who live here are (a) retired, mostly from New York, (b) working; mostly either construction or office jobs, (c) many with kids, mostly have dogs, (d) many whites, some blacks, and a few hispanics. Never see any asians here.
I guess the entire neighborhood is about 50 houses. Flat land in South Florida facing the turnpike.

We have 3-6 bedroom houses. Most are fenced in. Most backyards are wooded areas. There is a huge park with a lake. Mostly white and asian familes. About 3-4 black families and 2 hispanic families (including mine). Most of the adults are either doctors/lawyers/business owners/ or something pertaining to law or health. Lots of dogs. Hardly any stupid cats. Most houses have two car garages. There are about 40 something houses. (Our house is a brick house with bamboo floor throughout and some type of stone in the kitchen/bathroom. My next door neighbor's is the same, so I assume all the houses are like that.)

We have 6 bdrms, 4.5 br. all rooms upstairs except the master and the office and playroom (5th and 6th bdm)

Mine's mostly brick houses, with one massive ugly Brutalist council block. It's in the borough with the highest ethnic diversity in Britain - about half the faces are Middle Eastern or from the Indian Subcontinent. There's a high street with a gastropub, two kebab places (one posh, one cheap), loads of second-hand shops, and a ridiculous number of newsagents and offies. There's also a very good Indian restauraunt, and an excellent sushi place almost nobody knows about. There's two Sainsbury's, a Pizza Hut, but no McDonald's. Most of the houses here have been converted into flats; it's not a particuarly wealthy area, and most people can't afford a house.

There's a nice country church from when the area was a village (before it was swallowed up by London), and another which has been converted into a mosque. There's also a synagogue. In a nearby neighbourhood is the largest Hindu temple outside of India. There are a couple of playgrounds filled with junkies at night. The land slopes a bit from north to south. There's a tube station, it's on the Jubilee Line.

3 Bedroom ranch. Small development from the 60s, only 5 blocks, nestled in the woods. Mainly a white middle class neighborhood, with 3 black families. Some retired some still working. Couple own business'. Not too many kids as they are growing.
Only 2 mi from the NJ Tpke, but like being in the woods. Only 2 ways in and out, so there is no traffic and my taxes are the lowest in NJ.

Mine is a residental area with some apartments, condos, townhouses, and single houses, and duplexes. The entire neighbourhood is huge but tiny compared to the other communities in 'here' (Calgary). There is a supermarket or two (Safeway), convience stores, a few gas stations, one or two schools, churches, parks, and is close by a cemetary and two cremation places. Four major bus routes come through here and the community is old (around the 1920s). I live right across an old school (built 1928) which is now an ESL school and a park. I LOVE my neighbourhood. Also, there is pathways, a creek, and train tracks near my neighbourhood. A few golf courses, too. I would go biking on the pathway near the creek and by the train tracks. It's peaceful and beautiful there.

My neighborhood is mostly quiet. Is out in the country just outside of a small town in middle Wisconsin. We have no Blacks or Hispanics or Asians in my area. There are only Whites and 1 Native American family, in a small grouping of 6 houses. We have many Natives here because of the gaming casinos. Tall (100 ft.) white pine trees with many pinecones. Is a small community with friendly people and not to much crime, yet. Major highway nearest is I94. Is hilly, grassy land with big areas of forest. Lots of snow this winter.

Cute 3 bedroom houses built in the 50's. Suburban town located near San Francisco, California. Mostly white, many asians, few hispanics/blacks. My neighborhood is all white.

A bunch of old couples and widow/widowers, a house with many gay men, a newlywed couple with a baby, a middle aged couple with 4 teenagers, a lawyer and his wife with kids in college, and another family with kids all moved out.

I live in a 55+ mobile home park in central FL, so you can just imagine what it is like. Only a very few still work, like my husband and I do. It is all white, with no hispanics or blacks. Althought I doubt it would make any difference to me if they were in here. Several of the homes have gays. Also, no big deal. Although we are a gated community, we are surrounded on three sides by 'the hood'. Lots of gun shots, and crime. Sirens at all hours of the night. And, we are trying to sell, but it is almost impossible.
Definitely flat land, like most of FL is. Hot and humid in the summertime. Beautiful in the winter, but then it is too crowded.

I live in a housing complex in a small rural town that is quickly becoming suburban.
A police station/courthouse is at the entrance to the complex and a firehouse as well.
Because the owners receive government subsidy, there is various ethnic groups; basically an even mix of each.
There is working class singles and couples with and without children; there are some like myself that are disabled and receive rental subsidy; there are some on welfare; some retirees; some young, just starting out singles and couples, with and without children that are working and some not working and receive government benefits because of their children with disabilities; some tenants live here illegally and bring in others to live here illegally. AND last but surely not the least; some just continually hang out here because they’re homeless and know people here and/or participate in the criminal activities.
Add to that mix gang members; dope dealers; prostitutes and others that participate in criminal and other undesirable behavior that not only hang out here but reside here LEGALLY;
What do YOU think my neighborhood is like? lol :-)

additional:

I forgot to mention; this town also has it's own prison.
It has just completed building A NEW PRISON to REPLACE the old one.

My neighborhood is one big stereotype! All black, littered with garbage, welfare queens up and down the block, gang members up the hill, unruly children all over the place, drug houses around the corner, peppered with drop-outs, the under educated, and the blissfully ignorant. I can't wait to move, if you can't tell. Whne I do go there are 2 things I will miss. My neighbor down the street, because she's very nice and she's a great listener. And I will miss the park down the street. It's huge, heavily wooded and there's a small river and bike trail running through it.
