I beleive that if he hasnt told you where he is then you will not be able to find out due to data protection. The police wont tell you and its unlikely that the criminal justice system will tell you either for that reason. He has the right to tell you if he wants to and if he hasnt then thats his right. I know thats sounds really harsh and i'm not just being nasty. He will have been told that he can contact whoever he likes by letter or phone. Can you not ask his parents or his next of kin?
You could try sending out a blankeet letter to all your local prisons in the hope that a letter reaches him??
Good luck!xx

The Courts will not be able to tell you, nor will the Police. This is because of the Data Protection Act. At the end of the day, you really could be anyone. They don't know if you are his girlfriend or the victim out for revenge.
You just need to keep trying his Solicitor as they will be the only ones who knows who will give you the information, as long as they know you.
The Courts will certainly not be able to tell you and initially he would have been taken to the local remand prison and then moved on, depending and the length of time he has to serve, to a more permanent prison. Again depending on what his offence was.

Sorry to hear about the situation firstly.Your best bet would be to contact the courts at which he was sentenced . If not you next option might be to contact a family member
Good Luck

Why are you going to all this trouble to trace someone who hasnt told you where he is? And someone who obviously cant behave himself. Go out and meet new people and forget about this scumbag who doesnt have the decency to call and let you or his family that he is ok or where he is. They allow you to phone people and write letters in prison and he will know the address of at least where his parents are.
Give up on him hes not worth it

You need to go to your Federal Offices and ask the Federal Marshall. I don't know what they call the Federal Marshall in your country. Yes, call or go to your court offices. They should be able to help you. In America, we just ask the Federal Marshall in the county which we live. They have to tell you. It is public information. Good Luck.

You could try the court but in my local court the person is taken to the local prison and from there they are usually moved to another prison. Try ringing your local prison

go on to the hmp website and there is a prisioner search engine there. Or just ring the court because it is public knowledge. I did that when my boyfriend was put away and they told me where he was. His solicitors clerk should also be able to tell you as it should be on his file.

I suggest you find someone who's not an ex-convict. Those guys will not have a good future. They usually hang with other low life's.

contact correctional services, wherevever he is they will locate him. As long as you know his name and DOB. He would be in their system, also say he is your defacto, that would give you more of an advantage. hope that helps katie

his solicitor will tell you when you get hold of them but only if he wants you to due to data protection he might have told her he doesnt want you to know when my partner was sent away no one would tell me anything because we werent married i only knew what was happening as i new his solicitor and he kept in touch with me till my partner rang but he rang as soon as he arrived so it might sound harsh but if he wanted you to know he would have been in contact
