Two people enter a joint lease on an apartment for 07/01/2005 to 08/14/2006 with a landlord. The individuals orally agree between themselves to pay half the rent which can be evidenced with bank statements.

The individuals extended their lease in December 2005 to 08/14/2007 with the landlord.

One of the individuals got a restraining order on the other, moved out, and stopped paying their half of the rent in August 2006.

Now, the individual left holding the bag for the remaining 11 months of the lease is considering sueing the other for that person's half of the rent for the remaining 11 months plus interest and court fees.

What's the strongest legal argument each person could make to a judge? Who's argument will likely win in small claims court?

I am thinking that u can be kicked out for behavior that seems to be unrelated to defending our country...also, if Soldier A is gay and Soldier B "tells" his commander about Soldier A, then isn't Soldier B violating policy and thus subject to a reprimand?? Just wondering because I dont think it matters but so many people are sooooooooo uptight or maybe just fearful??

That blows the Lincoln was a conservative (just because he was a Republican) theory out of the water don't it? Neo-confederate conservatives today call him the "American Lenin." According to them, Lincoln's party was infested with socialists and outright communists.

Fight a fanatical guerrilla war of attrition for at most, a decade, (against a US military who has to follow "rules of engagement") or until the majority Americans get sick of it, then they scream to bring the troops home & the war is over, US loses by default. Is that how US wars are going to go from now on?

Hilary has stated that the premise behind the movie "Dave" (1993) was rediculous because there are no secrets in the white house. Today, on "This Week", Senator Chuck Hagel of Negraska said in passing that there were no secrets in Washington D.C.

Is it true that there are no secrets in the White House and Washington D.C.?

How does an average American tap into this rumor mill?

Because I'm trying to point out that todays SOUTHERN CONSERVATIVE Republican Party has nothing to do with Lincoln's, Theodore Roosevelt's, and Nelson Rockefeller's RADICAL / PROGRESSIVE / LIBERAL Party of the NORTHEAST. These people were not conservatives. And there is nothing liberal about klan members.

Today's Republicans defend the confederate flag in the South from liberal groups like NAACP. They rant against the ACLU who fought for civil rights in the 60s. And they got the klan campaiging for them.

Some cons have their history completely backwards.

that they are the best in the world. If this is the case can someone please explain the following to me:
1: If the troops are so highly trained why do they kill so many of
their own allies in friendly fire incidents.
2: Why has nobody ever been court martialled because of this?
It's bad enough when the enmy kill our boys without us doing
the job for them.
3: Why have some of our troops been caught in pictures
carrying out degrading tortures on Iraqi civilians? What is
the point behind that? Don't you think that sort of thing just
perpetuates violence & ultimately leads to more of our boys
being wiped out, all for a President's phoney war?
4: Any chances of our troops staging a military coup? Our
country needs a regime change too & nobody else seems to
want to do anything about it. The last comment may seem a
little strong, but hey we've backed military coups in so many
countries around the world, why not our own?

I was just wondering if they make it up as they go along. They seem to sit around waiting for Republicans to act, so that they can immediately take the other side. Or, they just jump on any bandwagon that seems to be catching steam. OPPOSTION IS NOT AN AGENDA!!! Democrats are like those kids that try to do what ever is cool at the moment, but just can't seem to do it without looking stupid. You people wouldn't know what to do if there were no Republicans.

So far we got rid of the bungling Rumsfeld. Got lying Rove and Libby on the run, took back Bush's blank check/rubber stamp on Iraq (holding him accountable, with "results" demanded) and have a "torture" parsing and lying attorney general half out the door.

Cheney is next. Then hearings on war profiteering and missing $billions in Iraq.

I just love checks and balances on republican dirtbags!

In 12/05 Lieberman claimed he had traveled to Iraq four times in the past 17 months , claimed to see progress and wrote "Progress is visible and practical. There are many more cars on the streets, satellite television dishes on the roofs, and literally millions more cell phones in Iraq hands than before... two-thirds [of Iraqis] say they are better off than they were under Saddam Hussein...Does America have a good plan for doing this, a strategy for victory in Iraq? Yes, we do. And it's important to make clear to the American people that the plan has not remained stubbornly still, but has changed over the years... What a colossal mistake it would be for America's bipartisan political leadership to choose this moment in history to lose its will and, in the famous phrase, to seize defeat from the jaws of the coming victory." Joe lied to America!
