I don't care about Arnold, but I think Lieberman should become a Republican. Then the Republicans would be able to control the Senate and slow the craziness of the Democrats. I want Congress to help protect us, not the terrorists, which is exactly what they are doing now.

I think every politician should follow their example and stand by their own principles, even if in some cases, those don't align with everyone else on their party. Only the radicals, left or right, are always in one side of the aisle, and think that everyone else on the other side are always wrong. But people with common sense like Schwarzenegger or Lieberman choose what they believe is best from ALL sides and stand by their principles. ( even if that mean getting kick out of your own party, even when they vote 90% of the time in agreement with it )

Not really. I think the problem here is with a system that only supports two parties, at all levels of government. Surely we recognize that to be Republican in Texas is a much different thing than to be a Republican in Seattle.

One of these centuries your country is going to wake up and say, "maybe we should have more than two parties" .... but until then people will always have to be slotted into categories that really don't fit them any better than the terms "black" or "white" fit most of America.

no i like the diversity they both give each other's party. it's refreshing to have two politicians who aren't afraid to come off the party line and speak how they feel on certain subjects. i really wish more of the politcos would do the same.
