In California a woman was beat up and her child abducted from her own home. Because it was the father and he left no markable evidence on her body (shoved and backhanded her), the police did nothing. There was no custody order on file. The man is a previous abuser with a record of serving in jail for abuse.

He took the child and hid out, filed papers behind her back with a different case number after she filed a petition for emergency custody of the child. He never served her and won a default custody case, while there was another case pending in mediation.

He then frauded over the womans bank accounts and credit until she needed a new social security number, and violated restraining orders but never charged. He is now concealing the child in an abusive enviorment and is trying to obtian child support while threatening her life making her flee across the country for her own safety.

Should she have to give this man child support, and is there anything she can do. He's in CA - She NY

When I was growing these were for anyones kids that were in the yard playing or getting into stuff, because they were acting like monkeys. We all did. Then I saw Clerks2 today and there was a scene where a black couple heard a guy say "porch moneky" and were offended, and so was everyone else. I have to be on Randalls side here, I was never given the memo that old school remarks were being taken and called "racist". I always thought it was funny, and looking at my two boys now, cute. what gives?

My friend was driving in town A (I dont remember the names, it was a while ago) and it was close to town B, but it was not in town B. There was a cop driving in town A, but he was from town B. My friend was speeding in town A, and the cop from town B pulled him over and gave him a ticket. Is that legal? How does this jurisdiction thing work exacly. Thanks.

"in spite of the fact that all 50 state legislatures have submitted 568 applications (far in excess of the two-thirds requirement) requesting a convention call, Congress has ignored its constitutionally mandated duty."

In the event that Congress does what it is required to do by the Constitution and calls the Convention which all 50 states have called for, there would be an election for delegates to revise the Constitution. They would be allowed to propose as many amendments as they like, whether to the people or to the state legislatures, in the same manner that Congress can propose amendments. This convention would last until it breaks itself up and would be allowed to change anything, even proposing a new Constitution if that is what was judged best.

Considering the way this president and the recent Congresses have governed, we need this convention more than ever. Why isn't it being called for by Congress as they are required to do?

After reading all the articles about what happened, it's clear that even if their 'raft'(boston whaler I think) strayed a few feet into Iranian waters, they weren't armed enough to start any trouble, let alone go looking for it . They only had side-arms . But on a waterway that is basically divided down the middle. . .one half Iraqi waters, the other half Iranian. . . .it would be easy to stray off course . AND all other sources are saying that they didn't stray, and they were in Iraqi waters !!

The penalty for espionage is Death. . . .. If Iran prosecutes them, will there be a war ?

It seems like everytime a republican talks about economic freedom it makes perfect sense but then he/she opens his mouth about gay marriage, war in Iraq, corporate welfare........ and I disagree. Furthermore it seems like everytime I talk to a liberal I agree with them on moral freedoms such as ending the WAR on drugs or fighting for civil liberties but then he/she opens their mouth about high government spending programs and I disagree. Isn't there something better than a two party system between the evils? Who actually believes in freedom in a free land and liberty? Whatever happened to the people that care about everybodys liberty? Do I have to vote for a liberal or conservative everytime an election comes up? Who else is out there that doesn't care about lobbyist groups or special interest gourps that are dividing and destroying our nation? Do you see a Pavlov response in those around you(where they get defense over a party like sheeple)? What would George Washington have been?
