To answer the question. How would you behave if you were permitted to read only one book and had to stop every two hours of the day to figure out where Mecca is, face in that direction and pray?
Most, not all clerics, have a childish attitude to life, look at a two year old, they want everything to be done for them and NOW. What is the difference, nothing........ I AM IN CHARGE, you are not. Much like a drill seargent. Except the seargent knows why he is in charge and what he is to accomplish.

Islam is a moderate religion that involves both spiritual and practical aspects of life and makes sure that none of them is taken to the extent that the other becomes completely ignored.
Islam allows humor, but at the same time it strongly disallows lying. Thus, it only allows humor or jokes as long as they do not involve lying. Once, the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, was asked whether he does joke or not, to which he replied: "Yes, but I only tell the truth."
Coming to the point now, Muslim clerics do have a sense of humor, but because lying plays a strong part in humor in our society today, their sense of humor seems limited to us as they make sure that they do not lie, nor appreciate those who lie. This could be viewed in the light of the general increase of "taqwa," (the Islamic concept of fear, clinging to obedience to God and abandoning disobedience to Him) which brings one very close to religion and is find on a larger scale amongst clerics. Thus, Muslim clerics do have a sense of humor, they do joke, and smile and laugh on them, but at the same time make sure that they do not disobey God by practicing acts that are disallowed by Him. Such as lying, hurting the feelings of others, being vulgar, etc.
On the other hand, Muslim clerics are also misunderstood at times or the only Muslim "clerics" people come to know of are those related to politics or those who love to make attentive and bizarre statements to the media. This leads to labeling all of the clergy as those who "don't have sense of humour," which is indeed unfair.
There are many Muslim clerics out there who even have a better sense of humor than an average layman. I know of many, it is just that they are not prominent enough to be known by the modern laity, or at least by the "humorous" ones.

One Muslim cleric is on the comedy circuit as a stand up comic. His holiness, Sheik Yur Bootie is one of the funniest men around. His Jhiad style of humor takes no prisoners. His musical group, the fifty dancing virgins of paradise, perform with him on stage. His personal turban powered jet takes him all over the world.

I could attack them with fervor, as passionately as they have attacked innocent men, women, and children in many marketplaces and battlefields throughout the world, but I won't. Clerics can't laugh at what they have brought to the world, to their own people. How can anyone take pleasure in sending thousands to their deaths? How can they promise a bomber 72 virgins? How can they use children as bombers? How can they smile after hearing and watching their own mosques being destroyed by other Muslim sects? I don't understand it. We're all going mad--north, south, east and west, Christian, Jews, and Muslims. There is no reason to smile or to laugh.

islam is waiting for something to laugh about first like the day when they rule the world,,jihad,, they will laugh there asses off when christians and other religions are wiped out

its that turbin, its weighted down to protect them from shrapnel, which is heavy and causes them a head ache, you dont laugh much with migrains
