It seems that under most circumstances, medical practitioners are required to uphold doctor-patient confidentiality. However, I wonder if this is also true for counselors or therapists who are licensed in their field but who are not actually medical doctors (psychiatrists)? Are they also ethically, or legally, bound to respect patient confidentiality?

I'm 38 years old, no arrests, I showed up for every day of my military duty, and I'm pretty darn ethical.

I also don't have a bunch of friends in the defense or oil industries.

Pick me.

Bush will be gone, more than likely a Democrat will be in office, once all the self righteous know it all's find themselves without an easy outlet to vent on who do you think will be the next target? Or do you just think they'll just end up being the american version of the international muslim community which seems to think they have no accountability or responsibility for the huge distortion of their religion by extremists?

This is in regard to a case in Texas where a man was accused of killing a little girl without evidence to support- everything was circumstantial. The girl died in her sleep and several months later, toxic black mold was found in her home. Her home was eventually evacuated and quaratined. With the research I have done online about the molds, I think that there is reason to at least offer a new trial.
I do not have a personal connection to the case, but I ran across it while doing research on a different case where an innocent man spent twelve years on death row- convicted in the same county.

All joking aside: A US database compiling the names of Americans and foreigners on one terrorism watchlist has ballooned from fewer than 100,000 files in 2003 to about 435,000 files now, it was reported today.

Is it fair that once an individual is on the list, it is virtually impossible to get off it?
