my grandmother lived in west virginia and there was no will and now the family is fighting over her house cause my 1 uncle wants to sell it. he didnt even wait a month after her death to start anything and he is no communicating with the rest of the sibilings is this right or what can be done?

I'm working on the subject of Police discretion in my Corrections in America class this week. The topic is Police discretion. There isn't much information in the text, so I was hoping to get a few answers from a few officers or other people in the CRJ field. My main question is what exactly is meant by police discretion? (what does police discretion mean--I know what discretion means, but I am assuming actual "police" discretion is a bit different in its own--and what does police discretion involve?) How does the pratice of discretion by todays officers affect your department and the policing profession as a whole?

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

Of course it is obvious that African Americans heavily favor Democrats in most elections. I believe the last presidential election was 88-12 (correct me if I'm wrong)..but has the lives of blacks really improved under democrats?

Have the ghettos been eliminated? Have schools in african american communities improved? Has gang violence gone down? Have blacks gained more access to higher level education?

Discuss, and bring facts. I'm really interested to see what you folks have to say.

As reported by AP, the Dem's aren't going to "raise" our taxes, they are simply going to let our existing tax "breaks" expire in 2010.
