An individual I know has been indicted with 10 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Dangerous Crimes a Class 2 Felony. The way the law works in his state is min 10 years prison per count consecutively.

The way the law states is a person commits sexual exploitation of a minor by knowingly: Distributing, transporting, exhibiting, RECEIVING, selling, purchasing, electronically transmitting, possessing or exchanging any visual depiction in which a minor is engaged in exploitive exhibition or other sexual conduct.

The individual I know may be a person who likes porn, but he is not a pedophile. 10 videos were downloaded accidentally using Limewire but he failed to delete them.

I feel the extent of this law was made for individuals who have serious problems, but the way the law states is even a minor offender must get what a serious offender deserves. Obviously the individual I know knows he made a horrible mistake but having to face 100 years in prison is way to extreme in my opinion

If a church wont marry 2 people of the same gender that's ok. That's their business. Why not let them get married in the court. Don't we have separation of church and state? People are only against gay marriage because of their religion.

Military Academies/colleges used to be bastions of a warrior culture. Today, the idea of making men through the “stern fires of military discipline” is viewed as anachronistic, even at these schools. I am a West Point graduate, but I thought that my experience there was like the “diet coke” of military education. I was never hazed, rarely yelled at, and didn’t think it was all that hard. The "achievement over adversity" mentality is long gone. Air Force academy tore down its famous “BRING ME MEN” sign, because it wasn’t PC enough. It seems like VMI and The Citadel are also following in the kinder, gentler steps of us. What happened in the national character to emasculate these schools?

Practically all the candidates in the past who have barn stormed about cutting taxes, and won the election have cut taxes as promised for a select few, but this only increased our national debt. This in turn caused the interest we paid out to increase. We could operate on credit for awhile, but eventually taxes would need to be increased even higher. Let's take a look at the Bush Tax cuts for the big boys and of course a few crumbs for you and me. The national debt has increased to 8.7 trillion with 406 billion being paid out for interest on that borrowed money. Sound good??

Yet another political top gun is found hiding in the "bushes", and we are left wondering, "Is this George W.'s vision for America?" Let the rich run amok and leave the poor with empty rhetoric that will probably never be truthfully answered?

In the theoretical occurance that President Bush came up to me and told me to do something, would I have to comply? Or rather, would there be consequences for not doing it? Or could I just say "Get bent old man" and walk away? (Which is what I would do, consequences be damned)
