Dr. Phil carefully picks his participants-- people he can resolve issues with or confront that don't have the capacity to challenge him or can't do so easily b/c they're public figures and don't want to risk alienating constituents (everything is carefully scripted now) thru their honesty.
In real life, therapy and problem solving, as he does it, rarely if ever happens. It would be nice to find couples and issues that were resolvable in 1-4 sessions-- but the realities are, this is one-dimensional therapy and most of us who do this for a living see him like we do pop psychology books-- designed for the masses as cute, pretty, easy as pie, popular and entertaining.

Seem to me when I watched him interview both Bush and Kerry, that he was a Bush fan. And Dr. Phil isn't on public TV; he's on commercial TV.

I as an american choose to never watch dr. phil. I did however see him on youtube having a mental breakdown because he was supposed to share a dressing room at some charity event. That was pretty funny.

I imagine only liberals will see it...conservatives are usually at work to pay the taxes so that libs can sit at home watching TV.

Don't watch that. Don't watch Oprah or the View or O'Reilley either. Why do you watch it?

I think it is hilarious that you are sitting at home instead of at work and you berate Conservatives for not wanting to pay your bills.

No, we don't watch. Most of us are at work, not sitting in front of the tube.
