When you think about who you are going to vote for in 2008, does the fact that Barrack Obama had been raised in a Muslim society weigh any on you decision to vote for him or not?

How about Mitt Romney, who is a Mormon (member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints)?

well i think it depends on what religion you are
for instance you know that the majority of the muslims will be voting like KRAZY for Obama
but for other religions such as christianity i dont think it makes a difference
since it is such a wide spread religion most do not judge based on that
but for most muslims they will choose a muslim leader
but i dont think it is the same for christians they do not really look at it that way
it all comes down to what religion you are and since islam teaches unity amongst ourselves we usually stick together
like that saying "birds of a feather will flock together"
well thats what i think any way

It does to an extent. Being Mormon myself, I will not vote for a liberal.

Now, when it comes to conservatives, there are too many things that I disagree with Rudy to ever vote for him. Leaving me, currenlty, McCain and Romney. I just don't feel I can trust McCain to not chnage his ideals during his presidency. That leaves me Romney. Based on the fact that he is a practicing Mormon, that means he has the same values as me and I hope it means he is trustworth, I will vote for him.

But that's all at this point in time. The election is a long ways away. Who knows who'll end up being the two front runners. I would LOVE to see Newt as president with Romney as VP.

Yes. The fact that right-wing "Christians" continually speak lies--like the one you just repeated about Obama--has led me to conclude that if any of these hypocrites are running where I live, I won't vote for them.

I will not vote for a candidate that believes in Biblical creation.

Such a person is unable to distinguish reality from fantasy and has no buisness being in command of our country.

No - just their politics. People can separate the two and I value that ability higher than any belief in sky pixies.

As long as he feels an American and not an Islamic advocate, his religion will not bother me.

I don't care what religion anybody believes in, as long as they keep it to themself and don't tray and force it on anybody else.
