Would you really believe such back-handedness as gospel truth? Goodness, that's something that starving, illiterate Third World people might believe... and I have my doubts on that, too.
Come one, be real and cut the childishness. YOU give all Americans a bad reputation in the eyes of the those from other countries that read your post. I'd rather believe you're just joking (and besides, Obama would never take credit for such a dirty, back-handed maneuver; I tend to believe he's more honorable and ethical than to be a part of such a dirty trick)
