Religion is an asset in the lives of many individuals.

Majority religion often becomes a liability in society, however, then the religion believes it is the only valid perspective, and tries to enforce its beliefs on everyone else against their will.

Religion is a liability.Instead of taking each person, experience for what it is or can become you go in with a idea already formed.Your religion tells you what is wrong and right. With no religion the mind is open to explore.
So many people have died in the name of religion more than any other reason. The rise of most religions brings a dark age to that country.Things become forbidden and wrong and then hundreds of years later we fight to restore those rights. So what was the point?I might be bias as I have never met anyone less forgiving or judgemental than religious person.
I do not see the need to read a book to tell me it is wrong to kill or not forgive I have always known this unfortunatly from the people that preached those things but did not follow them I have learned not to be like them.the only asset I found in religion was that I learned not to be religious.

Depends on the religion and what you consider an asset.

Is being a radical Muslim an asset for a terrorist? Yes.

Is being a fundamentalist Christian an asset for a thief? No.

However, having a belief system that values Iife and individual rights is a tremendous asset to civilization.

It is Neither.

It would not be difficult to Live with out Religion.

What happens with most Religion is that the Fanatics take the Practice of religion to the Extreme and Start to Impose their Personal VIews on Others. Worst still they start to teach their followers to Hate other Religion.

I know of No religion which preaches to Hate Other Religion.

It is in the Practicing, that All of Us can spread the Message of "Live, and Let Live"

Religion is a CHOICE. Oh, I'm sorry-it is a choice in the USA. Some of the middle east countries sort of put a limit on the religion you can practice (or not)

religion at its base is flawed. It is a set of doctrines and rules made by man...... Faith and belief in a higher power is an asset you dnt need a church for that....
