America did the only honorable and practical thing that could be done. Turning the other cheek just gets you slapped a second time.

America should have gone after the terrorists, instead of invading Iraq. It is a documented fact that the white house intended to invade Iraq BEFORE 9/11.
Some of the terrorists were in the mountains of Pakistan.
And bear in mind 13 of the 19 were from Saudia Arabia.

The terrorists who committed the crimes should have been identified, hunted, arrested, and tried under our laws and then punished under our laws. The people doing the clean up should have been given protective gear to avoid getting sick. The site should have eventually been cleared and a memorial built with the names of the dead. The living victims should have only received their insurance or FEMA if they were poor and unable to survive on their own. Donations should have been used to help the helpless...rebuild churches, apartments, support dependants, send the sick and injured to the hospital and follow up, etc. The president should have cut off all ties with countries from whom the criminals came from and closed all of our borders until they could be secured. He should have deployed troops to the borders and increased actual homeland security. He/lawmakers should have changed the immigration laws to prohibit immigration from people who consider America to be Satan (adversary) and deport those with in our borders that are already here. Except those who committed crimes. They should be arrested and tried. No more trade with Islamic and other adversarial countries who target Americans. IE the countries which the terrorists come from, Columbia who's main career seems to be kidnapping tourists for ransom.
I could say more.
This is all INSTEAD OF what was actually done and nothing like you said in your rant.

Maybe going after the perpetrators? Trying to capture Osama?(still free )while more people have died in Iraq than in 911(which had no terrorist ties at the time ....heck they couldn't even fly a plane over their country because we where there already since 1991.) The master plan was to lie to us,obviously convince everybody that it was Sadam and not Osama...but we know better ...right???

I think almost everyone is in support of the Afghanistan War where we went after those responsible for 9/11. I think another thing we could have done was crack down on countries that support of cater to terrorists, like Saudi Arabia. Also, we should have banned the use of all capital letter in posts in an effort to save them for military use. Didn't you get the Capital Letter Military Rations memo?

No. America should not ignore terrorist acts. I think it is the best thing to do is go to war. I'm not sure what you stand on this whole affair. But, I'm sure your for war. Anyone who thinks otherwise, has no real reason, other than hopping on the bandwagon, or just a bunch of crazy hippies, that we shouldn't go to war. They don't understand the real reason why we should anyways. I think that they are very ignorant at the whole topic.

The problem is not with going to war or not.
The problem is with finding the right targets.

How many terrorists did we actually get?
Not too many. Instead we're now babysitting
two very instable governments. Probably for
the next or next two decades.

And how many people behind the curtain with the
money? Did we get any of those?

Gone to war. The US is simply forced to. With that many Americans dying that day, you must use military action to hold those responsible accountable and to prevent future attacks.

i doubt they should have done nothing. what sort of message would that have sent out. does anyone really think you can kill thousands of people on its own soil and that country wont react as America did, i think they were quite right to react as they did, and i also think bush showed a lot of sense by not reacting immediately but thinking it through for a few days. not a popular view im sure, but as you asked thats my answer
