Was the U.S. constitution written because of problems with the Articles of Confederation?

I have recieved a misdemeanor summons to court. I missed my court date which was today. What counts as a valid excuse for missing court a Doctors Note? I am scheduled to goto Mexico in a few weeks will I not be able to leave with the bench warrant? Also they spelt my name wrong and my date of birth will the warrant show up with my correct name and date of birth ? I'm unsure of what to do. Can someone please advise me which steps I should take. Thanks ahead of time.

A week ago I would have said McCarthyite, but after the bloodthirsty, out of control behavior I witnessed from the counter demonstrators in D.C. this week, I don't know. I guess a lot of them would consider the McCarthyite label a compliment. Not so sure about the lynch mob thing, although I assume many or most of them would like to return to those days. our "leader", with the lowest IQ of any US pres in history, whom i firmly believe should have never been reelected along with his crappy administration, has led us into this one sided attack leaving innocent people dead. the real reason for this devastation?? YOU tell me... bc as far as i'm concerned ~ there is none. weapons of mass destruction? through the iraq survey group, we have concluded that there are NO weaps. of mass destruction.. so why are we still harming civilians and why aren't our troops home!

Here's a poll where Clinton and Obama show best, and it's still horrible. No doubt it will now be 32 of the last 44 years that Republicans have controlled the White House. For Libs to win the White House, you have to have huge leads in these nationwide polls to overcome the Southern Strategy in the Electoral College.

Read and weep Anti-American Libs. Libs just aren't trusted by the population-at-large. The best Libs can ever do is win local Congressional mid-term elections, which the minority party is supposed to win--big, which Libs did not, with a 50-50 split in the Senate.

Sad. Absolutely pathetic. Real Americans love it.

My brother has a small business in Louisiana that sells fountains named "Fountains of Youth". He has been opened about two years. He recently broke up with his girlfriend and to be spiteful she trademarked the name, even though she has no intentions of opening a fountain store, and is now demanding he cease use of "her" name. What can he do?

He knows everyone on the prosecution side. I sometimes wonder if he is being less aggressive than possible with my defense simply because he doesn't want to piss off his old friends... I want to believe that he is doing all he can for the huge $ he is making, but I don't want to be naive either

It's beyond phony and ridiculous. For a group that complains loudly and often about how "abused and persecuted" they are, they certainly don't seem to have a problem dishing it out.

Migration ..describes the movement of a population within its "own country", not to another country.

I recently received a letter for a lawyer company in NY saying that I'm selling counterfeit merchandise over the internet. I don't know what they talking about?
Obviously somebody stole my name and my address and started selling counterfeit merchandise over the internet under my name.
The intimitading letter says that they would take legal action against me, what can I do?

Why do you think the government can do better than the private sector with health care? Will we all be going to a "Walter Reed" (government run) type debacle? Isn't this the beginning of a "Socialist" type of government? When has the government "done a better job" of anything (except spend money without accountability) than the private sector?

I would like to ask advocates against the death penalty If as they say we might hang innocent people, might we not be sentencing them to life imprisonment when they may be innocent of the crime against them.
