Last week 79 idiots in congress proposed a bill on price gouging for gasoline. As we know gouge means to take by force or extort something from you.

As far as I can see the price of gasoline is set by the market, if you do not like the price you do not have to buy it, and they will not sell any and therefore go out of business. It seems that we already have pretty low prices historically ($3 in the early 20's compared to $1.50 in the 90's using 2006 dollars) yet we are being gouged by taxes on fuel to the tune of about 34%.

If they want to write a law, how about one that prohibits them from extorting more money from us.

My son is serving in Iraq, and I know people don't like bush and some are anti war, but sometimes I feel as though they have something against our troops, that are just doing their jobs. Do people really dislike our soldiers?

After all he is the decider. If he did NOT authorize this, how was this decision reached? Either way our Atty General seems to be in deep trouble.

I recently had spyware placed on my computer by a driveby hijacking. It caused pop-up ads to appear claiming my computer was infected and to click the link for a free scan. It turns out it was placed there by the company that wrote the spyware removal tool. The ploy is to infect the computer with their spyware to try to get you to buy their removal tool specifically. Isn't this extortion? Is this like mob protection money? This bug was extremely hard to remove as none of the popular spyware removal tools worked. I eventually found one that did. What would I have to prove and what would my success probabilty be?

I don't understand because we all know the U.S. has nuclear capabilities, then when we hear about another country like North Korea, Iran etc.. starts a nuclear program the U.S. gets all concerned. What will happen when the U.S. drops a nuclear bomb on another country? Nothing will happen and when another country uses the same bomb the U.S. wants to go to war.

I am thinking about doing a law degree, but I am unsure as to whether or not it would be right for me. I have heard lots about how lawyers have to work really long hours, but also I know they get paid really well. How many actually get paid the really big wages? The status is something that i would like as well. Can anyone give me any information? If you are a lawyer that would be even better.

After WW II Japan used her financial and military muscles only for peaceful purpose to better the lives of others. Do you think other countries should let go of the bad memories of WW II ? Countries can make mistake just like people. Those who repent deserve a second chance.
