No. The reason being, its not possible to be 100% sure that the person is guilty, even after conviction by judge and jury. In the past in the UK people have been hung only for it to come to light later that they where innocent. Its too late then. There have been, in the past, crooked police, prepared to plant evidence. Even with DNA I`m still not convinced, why could`nt DNA be planted?

Given the state of our justice system, I'd say definitely not! One concern is that once you've put someone to death, you can't bring them back once you've found out they were innocent. There is no way of instituting a provision saying "but only if we're absolutely certain", as this would mean nothing once evidentiary corruption has taken place.
Also what crimes would you want to punish? When you make murder (killing another human) illegal, then the law to kill them should be illegal, or you have yet another hypocrisy.
I can see the other side of some of the arguments (eg the cost of keeping prisoners inside for life), but can see no justification whatsoever for wilfully and intentionally taking the life of another.

Yes i do why don't you what if it was your family member that someone murdered i think drink drivers that kill some one should do a minimum of 25 years accidents are caused from driving but the likes of mobile phone users whilst driving that kill someone deserve at least 15 years inside.but murders deserve life or deserving how bad hanging

How about bringing the death penalty and longer
sentences in everywhere, at least this would keep
those nutcases who murder people from getting
out again and re-offending.......................................
otherwise persuant to that long jail sentences,
and no possibility of parole for repeat offenders
with a 3-4 strike system in place to lock them up
forever........................................................................
