If you mean which one is the most important- the army. its the oldest one.

Although you can compare them, the essential all do the same thing but under a different environment. Air force take the air, Army has the ground, and the navy has the oceans. The Coast Guard has the coastal waters.

The army was created first, followed quickly by the navy. The air force was created from the old army air corps in 1946. The marine corps is part of the navy. The coast guard is not part of the department of defense. They used to be part of the department of commerce but were moved to homeland security after 911. The three branches of the department of defense are treated equally and are funded accordingly.

Air force since they have aircraft.

Navy is at the bottom because they have submarines.

The Army and the Coast guard are in the middle since we can't go as high or as deep....

depends on the situation, but for usa, i bet u it's the air force on top. we've opened many wars with airpower(desert storm).. and there are places where we depended on airpower (vietnam). we usualy strike first with the airforce b4 sending anything else in =]
