i work at a nursing home that is attached to a hospital. the director announced that by next year it will be a smoke-free facility-like the hospital next door. only residents that smoke will be "grandfathered in" to be allowed to continue smoking on the property, not employees. the hospital next door allows NOONE to smoke on its property. is this discrimination on behalf of the nursing home?

I work for HMS Host in Charlotte, NC. On Monday I was confronted by the loss prevention officer and suspended for 3 days for investigation of not ringing up sales. I work as a server in a small bar setting. Do I have any rights in this matter? Do they need to show me any evidence to suspend me or fire me? they never said exactly what I did, or actually said they had evidence, everything was implied. When I refused to confess to anything, that's when they suspended me. I am supposed to go back in for meeting today.

Take a look at this (video) interview with Hugo Chavez and Barbara Walters. It is disgracfull.

This is a textbook example of how the liberal media ( CNN< MSNBC< NBC< BBC< ABC< CBS etc etc etc ) actively works to undermine George W Bush, and American people.
It should be noted that reporting like you are about to see is common place in Americas media. Wether you see it on TV, read it in a news paper or the Net, or hear it on the radio - albeit radio news is mostly Republican, there are many liberal voices.

Things you should note, while watching the interview:

1) The cake questions he is asked.
2) Complete avoidance of tough questions
3) Note how the questions are phrased - as to make it easier for that simpleton to understand
4)Look how Barbara praises Chavez after the interview.
5) She actively defends this man.
6) She trys to make him look like the good guy and GWB like the bad guy - Unfortunately - its also makes American look bad too.

Do the developed countries that sign the treaty just end up outsourcing their factories to developing countries?

If you have some facts on whether or not countries that have signed this are or are not doing that I would love to know because I'm concerned that is what's happening which means the earth ends up poluted just the same, and cheap labor is exploited, and the working classes of the developed countries end up hurting.

If this is what's happening, isn't there any better way to work towards clean air and clean water? (I at least know people on all sides of the political spectrum enjoy clean air and water). What could be more effective?

I saw a report on 20/20 or Dateline (I forget) about a guy that sues anyone and everyone and usually wins.
I have heard of people like this and even though most of their cases are frivolous, they make a lot of money doing it.
Some make a living doing it.
Anyone know of a site or information about someone who does.
Not that I'm considering it.
Personally I feel like people that do this sort of thing are bottom feeders that take advantage of the system.

Considering that technology changes through-out time, would this news cause some Global Warming Enthusiasts to consider.. .. yes, I said consider, that perhaps some of today's scientists may have it wrong about Mankind's involvement ???

Happens when oil companys own the country. wouldn't the best selling point for a politician be that he has no connection to the oil companys? I know it would be for me.

Here it is
I was dinged 2 x's on my card and they have since lied to me 5 seperate times. The money that they took was $400.00. This was going to go to my rent and they told me it was going to be put back on my account in 2 days. 3 days later it was not there. I had already called for an extention on my rent and do not want him to think that I am lying to him. I spoke with Nextel today for well over an hour and have stressed about it all day. I don't normally complain but they had told me 2 lies and I called, they said that it was now going to be 10 - 15 days. I asked them to put a stop pymt on the check and they said it was impossible. Then they came back and said that they were going to do that. Lie 3. They said I should go to my bank and fill out a form stating I did not authorize the debit. but if I did that I could no longer pay my bill with my card only money gram. Then they called and I could, Lie 4. I went to the bank, filled out the form, up 2 ten days. Lie 5.
