I suppose you want to know about prohibiting Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons capabilities? I think it's a damn good idea.

Despite international criticism, controversial Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad refuses to back down from his threats to “wipe Israel off the map.” Meanwhile, the leaders of Israel have vowed they will not allow another holocaust to be unleashed on its millions of citizens, comparing Mr. Ahmadinejad’s threats to Adolf Hitler’s rants in Nazi Germany.

Iran has a right to nuclear power. As for the comments about Iran wanting to "wipe Israel off the map" that is bull. Yesterday I posted a question challenging people to post the quote in Persian and I got one reply. If so many people know that Iran said this why did I only get one reply? And what did that reply say? It basically said that there is much debate regarding the meaning of what was said. What seems to have been said is that Iran wants a washing away of what Israel stands for i.e. they no longer want Israeli domination in an area where they are effectively a minority. More right wing people prefer to translate this a wiping out Israel. According to a few Iranian friends here in Hamburg (I'm Irish by the way) the first context is correct and not the wiping out.

I think Prohibiting Iran is a bad idea as it will harden Iran and make them dig their heels in. Iran needs to be engaged in meaningful negotiation and needs to be included in the international community. If they do develop Nukes then I can't see this ending in a war. History has taught us that when to enemies have Nukes they are both reluctant to use them.

Iran declares that it wants nuclear energy for peaceful purposes like generating electricity.
As long as it does no more than this & under UN observation I don't see any reason for prohibiting Iran.
There are more terrorist attacks & religious fundamentalists coming from the USA's "friend" Pakistan ....

Uhm, it's a good one. Iran currently is being funded to build and test nuclear weapons who don't only have a target on Isreal! They have hated developed countries (America, Britain...) for decades. They have been threatening the US with nukes for years and now they're showing potential capability to carry through on those threats. I, for one, value my life and country. They aren't building bombs over there for the fireworks!

Any country within striking range of Israeli Nukes has the right to defend itself. Israel is in violation of over 30 UN resolutions and every time the UN wants to take action the US vetoes it.

I don't think we should prohibit Iran...I think we should make sure that their future weather forecast includes a day of 10000 degrees and VERY, VERY, VERY sunny.
