I'm getting really sick of the kindergarten playground handling of a very serious war. First we had Geraldo drawing a map in the sand showing the world where his group was going to make a left turn and cut over - barf - why didn't someone shoot him? He was with the troops, he was a potential target and telling Saddams troops when and where he was coming. Journalists don't have brains enough to analize what they see. They only see the scoop, the story, the I'm first and I get a by line and a bonus for this. Yesterday Yahoo News 3/10/07 a General is interviewed by a journalist from AP he gives details of troop movements that are coming up at specific locations in actual combat zones where people have been killed. The stupid reporters ask the stupid question and they get the damn answer - CLICK - it's on the internet. It is time for me to run this thing. I'll tell the news agencies where to park their camels.

I am a card carrying Labour Party member I even ran for them in a local election some years back. However, like many I have become disillusion with them as a progressive force for change. It is not all about Iraq the West does need to stand up for it values and Islamofacists & dictators the world around can't always be appeased.

The liberals have as many coats as they have candidates. They won't win. They have elected a doddering pensioner as a leader and look about as radical and forward looking as a Werthers Original.

Even if I could stomach voting Tory, how can you vote for a leader as totally vacuous as Cameron. Style over content and what lies behind his glossy leadership is still the reactionary, zenophobic, class driven Conservative Party isn't it?

Will Brown's Labour party be radically different to Blair's? Should I risk it one more time. Is that just blind optimism?

The Greens are wrong on post 16 education and Anti European.

Does anyone agree with me that oil resources in Iraq should be exploited fully by US companies? After all they did liberate the country from tyranny and oppresion and the oil revenue gained is minute considering Pres. Bush had to ask congress just yesterday for $3.2 billion for an extra 4400 troops.

Which is it? A lot of you who support the war ask questions such as "why don't liberals support the war on terrorism?" Others as "why don't liberals support the war on Iraqi freedom?"

I mean, which is it? Do you truly know WHAT we are fighting for? Think about it...fighting in Iraq against terrorism gets in the way of establishing a free Iraq. So, do you want to stop terrorism or create their freedom?

With the number of Mexicanos coming into our country and settling mosly in the southwestern US states, it is inevitable that they will want to form their own country, or align with Mexico. President Bush, John McCain, and Ted Kennedy are doing all that they can to give this country away to Mexico. Will our country last in its present form until the end of this century? I doubt it. What is your opinion? http://www.numbersusa.com

I changed my thoughts on this. Now I think Character is an illusion in American Politics. There's too many spin doctors, poll takers and image consultants to place stock in book covers. I think its more important to watch what a person does. What about you?

A free Middle East ensures peace and security throughout the world. A free market and inevitable globalization makes peace a commodity that far out wieghs any profits that can be made from oil.
Oil will be a dwarf in all of the other prospects of a free marketplace throughout the world. Most importantly extremist such as Al-Quaeda, Ham mas, and Hezbholah will lose their economic base and there way of life (remember the Taliban?) will be an impossibility anywhere in the world.

Last time I asked only 2 people responded and they supported this idea. I guess the Libs can't argue about this theory.

I am planning on enlisting about a year from now. I am 17 years old with only 3 months left of my Junior year of high school, and at the end of my junior year I plan on entering the DEP (delayed entry program).

I play lacrosse for my school, and the past two years whenever the season starts up I get horrible shin splints. I come home from our 2 hour practices every day after school needing to sit down and rest them for awhile, icing them. They are pretty painful, and with the amount of running I do during lacrosse practice, afterwards they are very painful.

I have been looking for ways to get rid of these shin splints. They went away a little over the summer because of resting for a few months, but when we started preseason conditioning, they began to come back.

I know it is important to try and get rid of them now by strengthening up my shin muscles, but I was wondering if anybody with military experience has had this trouble, and how you coped with it, or got rid of them

While we're there, their support among arab people grows, as does worldwide sympathy for their cause.
While we spend billions, bleeding our treasury, they spend relatively nothing.
While we're there, our leaders restrict our freedom, and our people grow frustrated.

All while their cause gains the legitimacy of being called a "reistance to occupation"

So...my question is...why would the terrorists WANT us out of Iraq?
