While we're there, their support among arab people grows, as does worldwide sympathy for their cause.
While we spend billions, bleeding our treasury, they spend relatively nothing.
While we're there, our leaders restrict our freedom, and our people grow frustrated.

All while their cause gains the legitimacy of being called a "reistance to occupation"

So...my question is...why would the terrorists WANT us out of Iraq?

...did I mention the casualties?

the short answer is that the terrorists don't want us out of iraq.

as long as we're in iraq, we can't really do anything about saudi arabia, iran, pakistan or afganistan (anyone remember that afganistan harbored those who attacked america on 9/11).

the sad fact is that bush has done EXACTLY what the terrorists have wanted from day one.

that alone is impeachable.

well there support among the arabs isn't growing, i have a good story from iraq, told to me by a current marine. He was working security for one of the voting booths for the election of a new president. one of the booths was attacked by a suicide bomber, luckily he was killed before he could set the bomb off. the citizens going to vote spit on his body as they walked by. more or less he was a lugie fest. also the US makes enough on taxes to pay for this war since the only 10 percent of the budget is spent on the military. yes the terrorists want us out, but the people want us there. they want freedom. democracy can work under islam after all.

ROFL
Your logic has so many holes that it is gonna sink!!!!!
If terrorists had wanted us out of Iraq, they could have accomplished that about three years ago. The war was only going to last about 6 months,, remember??
The reality is that terrorists have done everything possible to keep us engaged there, and will continue to do so. Our remaining there creates HATE, and the creation of hate is their soul goal.

There's historical Xenophobia with Arab and Muslim culture. For example...if American Troops would step foot in Mecca or Medina, the whole Arab and Muslim world would totally flip out until we left. Past talk of infidels and Crusaders has this world scared of foreigners to say the least.

You make it sound like we are the bad guys! Have you forgotten 911!! The terrorist who support attacking america are coming into Iraq to kill americans! We want freedom in Iraq ,they want domination!! Maybe going in was a mistake, but leaving now would strenthen the enemy to further attacks. It's easy to blame the U.S goverment, but we need to SOLVE this problem!! Not blame bush or anyone else, get it?

Terrorists took to guns for gaining power. Whether it is US forces or Iraqi forces they would like to finish to achieve this goal. They know very well that US forces would not leave by asking them to get out. To gain sympathy and support from general public they use this statement. 'Occupation forces to get-out' is another term along with their stereotype terms like 'jihad', 'Islamisation', 'establishing rule of Allah' etc.

Terrorists want us out of Iraq because they want to make a facists Islam regime like they had in Afghanistan, and they want the US to lose. They hate Bush and want to make him look bad, just like the Democrats. Remember: A vote for Democrats is a vote for terrorists.

Terrorists want us out of Iraq so they can take over and turn Iraq into a police state. We are the main obstacle to that goal.

Well the first reason should be pretty obvious...so that THEY can run Iraq.

Some of the Shia want us out so they can kill all the Suni because they are still P.O.'d about how they were treated by the Sunii under Saddam.

Some of the Suni want us out because they think they can re-impose their will and take Iraq over themselves, and they can go back to the power and money they enjoyed under Saddam. (It is FAR more likely that the Suni would get wiped out by the Shia in something like Rwanda if we left...but that doesn't stop some of the Suni from thinking they can bring back "the good old days"...one does not have to be particularly bright to be a terrorist.)

The Iranians (who are shia) want us out because they have plans to run the place as "The Islamic State of Iraq", basicly as a puppet state of Iran. They also want us out because they are scared by the large number of U.S. Troops on their border...both in Iraq and Afganistan and also in the Persain Gulf.

The Al Queda guys want us out so that they can set up another base of operations to replace the one they lost in Afganistan.

The Syrians want us out because they too are afraid of the presence of US troops. The large number of Americans started people thinking about freedom and it caused the Lebanese to start pushing to get the Syrians out of Lebanon, which the Syrians did not like; and that caused the Syrians to have several important Lebanese Politicians killed...it gets quite complex from there, involving Hezbullah and Iran, but lets just agree that the Syrians would really like to see us leave.

The Palestinians (both the Iranian backed Hezbullah and the Palestinian Government) would like to see us leave for a number of reasons...

1) They hate us (they celebrated in the street, danced, and passed out cake on September 11th 2001... Google up the footage sometime) and would like to see us loose one.

2) They figure a loss for the US is a loss for Israel, and they really hate Israel.

3) The Arabs in particular and Moslem Armies in general have a long tradtion of getting their butt whipped. Before the Siege of Vienna in 1683 they had been on a roll for almost a 1,000 years. (The Middle East and North Africa used to be Christian, most of it was part of the Eastern Roman Empire till the Arabas conquered it and imposed Islam). Since 1683 they have been getting the short end of the stick, from the British, from Napoleon, from the U.S. Marines (go Google "Barbary Pirates") from the French, from the British again, from the Israelis, and from the USA. That is why the USSR vrs Afghan war was such a big deal...they finally WON one!! Then a few years later there was Black Hawk Down and Clinton pulled us out of Somalia...that was a REALLY big deal for them. Al Queda had been backing the Somalis and they BEAT the USA. Sure they took about a hundred casualites for every one of us they killed, but we left and went home and they wound up in charge of something. Yeah it's probably the biggest pest hole on the planet, but it is THEIR pest hole!! This was a really big deal.

As long as they had thought we were invincible, lots of Arabs and Moslems were of the opinon..."Sure, the Koran may say we should do Jihad, but that was a long time ago, those days are gone, and we can't win... lets just drink some tea and watch soccer on TV." After they saw us leave Somalia with our tail between our legs, they started thinking..."Hey, maybe there is something to this Jihad thing after all..."

Thats a big part of why you saw an upsurge of terrorisim during Clinton's term, (The first WTC attack, the US Embassy bombings in Africa, the attempted millenium plot, the attack on the USS Cole, etc.) ending with 9-11. The terrorists had seen us loose and they thought that meant they could win, so they started trying.

If we pull out of Iraq, that will be a HUGE win for the terrorists, and you will see them become the heros of the Arab and Moslem world. Their brand of radical Islam will become more popular, they will have more money, more men, more support, and more power. I think you can see why they would want that.

You would see a HUGE upswing in anti-american terror attacks, here in the US as well as overseas, and Europe would blow up like a powder keg, and the pro-us governments in the Arab world would be attacked and most would fall.

The last reason is They want all the Iraqi oil money for themselves.... to fund the terror operations, to build mosques both in the Arab world and the west, and to spend on their own palaces, harems, etc.

Anyone who believes that terrorism has anything to do with why we're in Iraq and whether we stay there or leave is a dupe. So, basically, you're asking a bunch of dupes a meaningless question.
